Milwaukee Wisconsin, we bring you beer, brats and cheese. But don't be fooled, "Milwaukee truly is a special secret getaway that I will be sure to tell my friends about!" Erin Brockevich, not to mention that we are an hour from SFGAm........
I just love coasters...the anticipation, the exhilaration...they make me laugh and are great stress relievers.
Certain elements don't matter to me. I think they all are fun. But I do have favorites and will ride those first.

I can't get enough of it,
can't live without it.
I look for out and back layouts and straight hills. Even on the multi-inversion coasters.

Are there certain elements of a coaster that first catches your eye and makes you say to yourself, "I want to ride THAT one
A wood track :)

When you go to Medusa at sfgadv and see a giant cobra roll that you have to walk under and the zero G roll flip in front and over you, that alone will make you wanna ride also the b&m roar. Seeing the loops from GASM from the parking lot makes you want to ride.
The roar and speed of wooden coasters like lightning racer just calls your name and just urges you to ride it. Seeing the bright color scheme of Talon and tall hills of Steel force makes you want to ride. Mostly everything about a coaster.

Usually when I go to SFWoA I want to ride the one that has the shortest line. As for the coaster itself, which ever i'm in the mood for. But just watching the train roll thru the track is the most beautiful sight and it just makes me want to ride it.
When I visit SFMM in June I am definitely going to point at X and say "LETS RIDE THAT ONE!!!!!"

I have 32 coasters in my track record.....I'm so proud of myself.

"What am I doing?"
"OoooohwhAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am a visual person. If a ride or park is not visually appealing to me, then I tend to form and immediate and most lasting impression....even before I ride it.
I think that is why I find Busch and Hershey coasters capture my heart. Although they may not give the best rides in the world, their settings, placement, colors and surroundings draw me to them.
I'll get hate mail for this, but......
My first visit to Kennywood is a priceless example. Before I ever set foot in the park, I knew I wouldn't like it. Why? When I drove in the parking lot, I thought it was the ugliest conglomeration of rides I had ever seen. I had a horrible first experience there and thought the coasters were extremely overrated.
Although today, many years later, I still feel the coasters are overrrated, I have learned to appreciate Kennywood. To me Lost Kennywood is it's saving grace, it is beautiful and keeps my eyes and mind occupied. Other areas do not hold my attention or appeal to me. Sorry to those Kennywood lovers out there... but it is just true.
