It's the fear that you are going to fall out and die.....but instead you fall right back into your seat so you're relieved and happy that you didn't die. That fear is what everyone likes.
That's why I think everyone loves it so much. That's why I love it so much.

1) Millennium Force
Just kidding. Being a math/science/social science teacher, I enjoy using physics explaining this: Your body is going up, then the train declines, thus......negative G force, which produces the weightlessness effect. If you add lateral G force while experiencing weightlessness (Shivering Timbers, Villian, Hershey's Wildcat), it gives a relentless ride that never keeps you in your seat (unlike the Mean Streak, where you are plodded in the cubby hole the entire 3 minutes). Being the airtime whore that I am, I cannot get enough of it. I even enjoy the air after the block brake on Batman: KF at SFWoA in the back seat. I love all the elements that coasters gives, like loops, corkscrews, cobra rolls, etc, but airtime is the true feeling of "no control".

There's nothing like a woodie...
I agree with Woody. I go for the back whenever I can on B:kf at Sfwoa cause of the air after the break run. The same with The Villain too. I haven't ridden anywhere but the back after i experienced it. The pull over the lift is great and the air over the second turnaround is awesome, and for that matter the whole ride. Millennium Force's back seat is really close to being as good as its front. The pull over the hill is incredible.
Just curious, anyone know of any other rides that have great pull over the first hill? I know there is a lot.

I think he knows why he likes it, he is just interested to see what other people think of it.
I just had to ask after the "loops or speed" thread :)

But other than that I enjoy the feeling of being out of control, and floating counts, so I love it!

Stop the lawyers, not the rides!
Airtime is that beautiful feeling that comes when the sheer speed of the ride, the incredible tingle in your stomach that you get when you drop and your heart ends up in your esophagus, and the fact that you are flying (not just sitting complacently) come together in the most perfect of ways. At that point on the ride, everything is PERFECT...the forces, the speed, your body...EVERYTHING. THAT, for me, is whyairtime is so great.
coastingohio-- As the Nitro whore I am, I can profess that, even with a TINY bit of room in the restraints, the train pulls greatly over the first hill...with enough room, it actually feels more like a freefall than a steep drop. Naturally, me likey. :)

Thats what they said on the Terror Rides special on NBC. They said that many people like coasters because coasters simulate good sex. Tell me where NBC does their research? Noy any parks I know of.

Deja Vu in the front seat makes V2 feel like a kiddie ride!
I would think that, scientifically, the adrenaline or hormonal chemistry bring that out in a human. (Which would equal the sex drive.)
