Jeremy, I haven't ridden it. Is it really that amazing? Everyone talks about the killer ejector air. Where do you get it? Second hill? It does look sleek and fast. I love SD2K and it's smoothness. I guess PR is a slightly smaller rockin' machine, eh?

www.tripowered.com ~ Now this is a rockin' machine.
Well the first drop did little for me (I despise non-GCI curved drops) the second gave a good sense of speed. The turns gave some good positive Gs. The first bummy hops gave nice flo-jection, but then you hit that double down and are forcibly physically removed from your seat, then more positives on the half helix thingy and a couple good bunnies.

The best thing though about PR is that nothing is really the same. You get different sensations the entire ride. For comparison, on Maggie the drops on the way back, while wonderful, could be seen as monotonous. But on PR you have curved drops, highly banked turns, a helix a double down and bunnies interspersed. While PR is not my favorite (mainly for sentimental reason) it might be the most COMPLETE hyper I've ridden (though a tunnel would have been nice :))

Now that little European Goliath thing looks to be in that same mold...

GregLeg also had nothing but good reviews for PR (which I also need to get to). Gotta add "terrain" to the list of items for a good hyper....sounds like they kept the best of SP, and removed the "offending" portions. I swear I wouldn't have kept riding except for that INCREDIBLE second drop of the hillside...and it was a virtual walk-on. (note to self: smarter than average "GP" at Kennywood...;).

I thought PR had a tunnel! The animated POV made it look so. I can't believe I didn't know this. Ugh....

Simple, Lots and Lots or Airtime

-----------------
A CCI 200ft out and back would rock

to me a hyper should make you confused. there are several ways to do this: insane airtime (not the best way and should be combined with other elements), twister style coaster (very effective. see Raging Bull and S:ROS SFNE), terrain (whether through trees or around topography. see Apollo's Chariot and Nitro). all three elements confuse you whether its through confusing your sense of direction or seeming to break the rules of physics. probably the best hyper/giga would be one that combines all three, but that isn't easily done in NL due to lack of control over land and vegitation height. however, your best bet is to design it with what you want. if you design it for us, its not yours and you probably aren't going to do a very good job of it. just remember, everyone has their own tastes and you can't please everyone so you might as well focus on pleasing yourself.
