What makes 1 coaster better than another?

To me, a coaster stands out with certain signature moves...like helixes... a swooping first drop...intense G-loops....what does everyone think?

Pacing, air time, surprises, promises, doing what it does just right.  In short, magic.

Darn, Chitown, you beat me to it!  There really is nothing that makes one coaster better than another, they are all good in their own way.

Please disregard anything said by me that is incomprehensible, incoherent, or just dumb. I am and will be drained from the arduous school year, thank you!

I think he's asking what WE as individuals like, not as a general statement.

Personally, I like to feel the rides. The rougher the better. I love the Mean Streak and mourn the loss of the Steel Phantom. I want to know I was on a ride ten minutes into the line for the next ride.

That said, my two favorites are X-Flight and Mil Force, which are smooth like mayonnaise. Go figure.
