What is your guilty Pleasure?

mine would have to be Viper at SFGAdv. it is so much fun, but to many people just complain because it hurts and can't see the good aspects of this ride

-----------------

Fire in the Hole at Dollywood!

Hershey Wildcat comes to mind. It's disliked by many, but I can't get enough. I know it's somewhere in my top 10.

Also at the same park is Sidewinder. I usuially don't care much for the boomerang clones, but this one seems way more fun. Maybe it's the trees.

-----------------

Where to begin? Desert Storm, Twister II, Santa Cruz's Hurricane, Stealth, Manhattan Express, Mantis, the SLC, the Boomerang, and a few other various Togos, Vekomas, and Arrows.

Sure, these might not be the greatest of rides, but they aren't half bad. I guess I just haven't been on too many crappy rides.

Boomerangs for me. Almost all of the people on here complain about the things but I love them. The only seat that I feel any roughness in is the front. Other than that I think they are sweet rides(It's just that there are way too many of them).

Have you hugged a Beemer today?

Although most people tend to dislike Arrow sit-down loopers, they are among my favorite. Vortex at King's Island in particular.

Arrow Dynamics is awesome. Track Record-56

Mean Streak, although I did like it much better a few years ago before the trims were used. And Manhattan Express in Las Vegas. Many people hate it, but I always liked it.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Mibe is Hypersonic XLC, everyone says its way too short all it is a launch, but its my number 2 and I've loved it, it takes your breath away and is the coolest coaster I've been on.

The Jokes on You!! Ha Ha

Hercules, most people don't like it because it's rough and boring, but that drop around the lake is awesome and the small drop going under the station took me by surprise.

Mean Streak and Mantis are also 2 of my favorites that some people hate. I can't see how people hate Mean Streak or Mantis because they are both awesome rides.

Oh yeah I can't forget Wildcat @ Hershey... all my "non-enthusiasts" friends hate it to death but I could ride it all day.

Daidarasaurus!

Lake Compounce-So Fresh and So Clean Clean

yes, i must add PKD's Shockwave to the list, as well as PKI's King Cobra (R.I.P.), uncomfortable yes, but intense riding!!

Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!

Gasm and Viper at sfgadv's. Gasm is so tall than the drop is good with the loops and fun intensity, there isn't even a lot of headbanging, its just not as smooth as b&m's which we are used to. Viper because the drop is so good, if it was lift drop brakes I would ride it.
Arrow Loopers, and heres the big 3, Flashback, Pysclone and Grizzly, Flashback has a couple of super rough spots, but that helps create some sheer terror! It's worth 1 ride a visit. Pysclone is rough in the back pretty intolerible if you have hurt your ribs before, or don't drink enough milk. Grizzly is a family coaster nothing more nothing less, it jsut bounces up and down which can create some feeling of airtime! Now I probibly like these coasters because I have never waited for them, and really won't!

Also Kong at SFMW was my first non kiddie, non Disney coaster, it has a certain place in my heart for that! I've ridden Boomerang, Invertigo and Deja Vu and enjoy them as well.

2002, PGA,SFMW,MK,MGM,AK, EPCOT,IOA, UNIVERSAL, SWO,and SFMM!
2003,?

BOSS...

Loved that ride, front seat is great, back seat is great, whole thing is great. But it seems every TR I read of SFSTL somebody's complaining/ripping on it.

And the next one doesn't really count because I know many others share my opinion... the former Steel Phantom. Now don't get me wrong, I love PR too, but the original Phantom was still a great ride, not to mention as my first looper & mega coaster. Now that was a coaster if I've ever seen one. Powerful doesn't even start to describe the ride, and you always came off breathing heavily. R.I.P. Steel Phantom

Boss at SFStl which everyone says is rough and without airtime and I have to wonder what coaster named Boss they rode because I really think Boss was one of the best wooden coasters I have ridden. I had some great air, great laterals, and sure my legs hurt from being pressed into the lapbar during the turns but hell, it was well worth it!

Another SFStl ride, Ninja. Everyone goes on and on about how rough this ride is and all the headbanging. I went on the ride expecting the worst and ended up having a blast. I certainly isnt one of the greatest coasters in the world but it is fun and the headchopper under the lift chain is worth any wait for this ride alone.

My last guilty pleasure is the Demon at SFGAm. Every single time I visit the park I have to ride the Demon. Again it isnt one of the greatest coasters on the planet but it is a lot of fun, has a huge nostalgia factor for me and the airtime on the first drop is some of the best airtime to be had on a steel coaster under 100 feet.

I never thought of SFGAm's Demon as a guilty pleasure.... it's really a wonderful coaster. The first drop gives the air I rarely find on a looper, and once, when riding in the back, I literally got thrown off balance in the first loop. It was so sudden that I actually lost my footing and was at the whim of the coaster. It was awesome.
