What is up with SFEG?

Is Six Flags Elitch Gardens ever going to get another coaster?????????

One word, no.

Six Flags is neglecting the park, so I think no coaster will be added. Six Flags just adds coasters to their bigger parks. So it's their lost if the park isn't bring in money. If they added a coaster at Elitch's, the park would bring in more money.

The park has room for a coaster! First, they could take out Twister II. Then they could add a LIM ride there or take out the Pepsi Groves near the Mind Eraser and add a hypercoaster. There is open land behind Island Kingdom park. The hypercoaster could extend out there. It would be an out-in-back.

But you know Six Flags...

One word, yes.

They will eventually get one, but probably not next year. I don't mind the wait, because I like the coasters they have there. I wouldn't mind a few different rides until then. :)

I dunno about taking out Twister 2, the ride is very crappy, but it is only 6 years old, they could make the station right next to the mind eraser station and have it take a left out of the station, make the lift up that side of the park, drop down on the side of Twister 2, and do a turn like on Millenium force behind Twister 2, and than circle the park pretty much, it would cost a lot of money, but so did the park when they bought it, and their profit isn't gonna go forever on that park. 

 

would we like to se SFEG get a new coaster?  yes.  Will we see SFEG get a new coaster in the near future?  Don't bet on it.  The park is going nowhere, and it is mainly the fault of Six Flags and they're neglecting of smaller parks.  A new coaster would be great, but I would rather see Cedar Fair or Paramount or Busch come in and buy Lakeside, or build a new park that would blow SFEG out of the water.  Then maybe SF would add some new rides to compete, and we could have two decent parks here. 

Then again, monkeys might fly out of my butt.

I grow tired of these ridiculous "neglect" topics. Some of you make it sound like the company treats a park like some stray dog they don't like anymore.

It's not an emotional situation or one where someone has something against someone. It's a business. Nothing more, nothing less. Businesses make decisions that reflect their goals.
