What is up with MIA's Corkscrew's Station? Everyone talks about it like something is wrong with it. Does anyone have any pics?

I honestly don't know either. It could be that there are always bats in there hanging on the walls.

It's... well... picture a white concrete cube with peeling walls.

Now picture some angular wooden accenting -- 70s style.

Now carve out room for a station and track, and diagonal entrances on opposite sides -- do not decorate, leave floor bare 'crete and put in maroon exposed metal supports on the ceiling.

Congrats, you too have converted a bomb shelter into a coaster station.

Ha! That's exactly what I thought. It's like an above-ground basement. It was the first coaster station I could see coming in the park. My first reaction was, "What the hell is that?" It's not particularly dirty or anything, but dear God, it's an amusement park, not unfinished construction! Anyone drive past the unfinished hotel and apparently abandoned hotel near the airport on the way to Cedar Point? MA's Corkscrew station looks like that.

The Corkscrew station is really dark and damp and it's like having a roller coster train go through your basement

I'm adding a new Corkscrew station to my "I hope Cedar Fair makes this better list," which also includes a new logo, more shade, and better food. :)

The station should be named "Toilets 1."

What's wrong with the station? It serves it's purpose. Remember this WAS an independent park that didn't have means to build an elaborate station when it was installed.

I bet CF takes the Corkscrew out in the near future.
