There is a Culvers in Mason? Where?

This Wisconsinite is still bitter that there isn't one up here in Toledo.

The Culvers in Mason, can be found atUS Rt42 (Reading RD) and Tylesville RD. (I think that's the spelling) If turn left out of the south lot, and go up to the main light, you know the one if you go straight you hit I71 South, turn Right there and keep going, for about 3 maybe 5 miles and it's up on your right. your past a school at Mason MT and Tvill, past that, to the next major light (UDF on one side) (new Speedway on the other), past that and it's on your right. Right next to the WLW radio tower!

This thread is making me look forward to my fix of Hot Potato chili cheese fries on Friday. :) That's something I HAVE to have with nearly every visit. :)

If it's the article I think you're thinking of, it isn't really about Cedar Fair food at all; it's about the lousy service at various North Coast establishments. I finally ended up getting much better service at Cedar Point.

For another example of much the same thing (though arguably a more entertaining story!), see Mark McKenzie's Dinner with Todd Long for a story about trying to have dinner at Friendly's in Sandusky.

I had never encountered a Friendly's until I moved to the Northeast but it really is just about the most deplorable dining chain I can think of. By a long shot.

I would like to add that I love it when RideMan starts putting up links - they are like a time machine to ye olde golden years of the internet, with their gaudy backgrounds, pages full of text, and Angelfire links. :) *** Edited 6/9/2008 6:01:06 PM UTC by matt.***

I've only given two "message tips" in my life---a single, solitary quarter that says no, I didn't forget to tip you; you were just awful. One was at the Friday's down the road from the park.

...And to bring this full circle, guess who owns that particular Friday's franchise...

Hmmm. Now that you mention it, it might have been Chili's.

Really? Chili's is the one chain restaurant where I have NEVER received bad service! Occasionally I find one where they have never heard of the Nacho Burger (which has been off the menu for about a decade) but I never have received poor service, even in Sandusky.

Wow. That's the kind of disproportional response that makes you wish Friendly's had Valium on the menu. :)

I just double-checked locaitons. It was on 250, so it wasn't a Friday's. The Chili's is in the right spot, so that's a good guess.
