In 1999, two trains collided in the station. This was ruled operator error, as the operator didn't pull the handbrake to completely stop the train in the station. A few people were hurt, but it was mainly bumps and bruises. This is sort of similar to the recent incident on S:ROS.
The following year, the Thunderbolt received a new computer braking system.
