What is there to do in Sandusky?

Put-In-Bay was very disapointing when I visited it this year. Too "touristy".

Which is why I just spent a weekend at Kelley's Island. It isn't too touristy there - yet. You can also take a car there just for the day. Ends up being cheaper then renting a bike or golf cart.

I'm amazed that Mystery Hill is still around. The place with a farce!

The Titanic Exhibit at Cleveland's Great Lakes Science Center is pretty good if you can ignore the somewhat cheesy offerings in the gift shop.

I started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

Thanks for the advice! I'm sure they'll like Put-in-bay or Kelley's Island. Probably marble head lighthouse too. I don't think I'll tell them to got to the zoo. We have plenty here. And I think the reason is they don't want to go to Cleveland is because, it might seem kinda boring (except the rock and roll hall of fame) cause, c'mon we come from Chicago. We have so many museums here. I'm sure none would be as interesting such as the Field Museum, Museum of Science of Industry, Shedd Aquarium, Planterium, Lincoln Park Zoo. Sorry didn't mean to brag, just saying that they would enjoy somthing more unique. Well thanks for the advice.

Anyone care for some roast beef?

Please... don't dog on a city and say it's boring if you've never spent time there. I thought Portland would be like that and now it ranks as one of the few places I'd consider moving to.

Ric Flair was hitting on the female host, he told her - "Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it has the longest line." WOOOOO!

Chet and Matts is my favorite pizza place EVER. It's on the road behind K-Mart. Yum Yuuuum!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of extra time when I lived at the point due to 10 hour days and all. All I ever did was go to the Sandusky Library and the way to small mall.

I can't stress how good Chet and Matts pizza is. They really know how to treat their customers with great service and atmosphere. I miss that place:(

Put-In-Bay is pretty much deserted between Labor Day and Memorial Day. The parties there last through the summer season, then it's empty.

They could try fishing, if they like that sort of thing. There is a drive-thru exotic wildlife zoo also (Cant remember the name) toward Port Clinton/Lakeside.

I've traded in my 2000 Giovanola for a 2002 Arrow X4D :)
My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

Cleveland definately has a lot more to do. I don't know how you could say that Cleveland would be boring since you live in Chicago though. I live in Cleveland, and find it to be a place with a ton of things to do. I doubt I would get bored if I took a weekend to go to Chicago. But thats just me...

Just sit back, and enjoy your record breaking ride on Millennium Force!
