...but, what I'd like to know is what the current status of Viper is.

or...

I've seen a couple photos of it being dismantled in one part or another, but I cannot make heads or tales if it's going to be scrap metal, or a potential headache for another park.
About halfway down, Crashmando's post suggested the second option.

Also for all you Viper to DL people. I dont see it happening. I watchem them take the ass end of Viper down today with a backhoe. And they weren't careful with it at all. The metal looked ripped apart and was in a big twisted pile.
Well, maybe it was just in there really really tight like a bad car crash & had to take their version of the "Jaws of life" in order to get it out!
(a bit of hope there!)
It's an original coaster. It's a TOGO... it's just ashame to see a 10yr old coaster go. It really wasn't all that old and would make a decent fit to any park if it had a little TLC.
But then again, what do I know?
Still, always a shame when a coaster goes away...and Viper is *gone gone*...
edit: B&M has been doing more new-ish work with inversions and layouts, it would be *too sweet* to have THEIR take on the twist-and-dive...:)

This may be a little off topic, but according to a recent ACE magazine, don't expect to see Shockwave relocated.
And by the way... Viper absolutely stunk. I'm glad I won't have to look at that pain machine now.
