What is Stark Raven Mad?
Stark Raven Mad is an event held at Holiday World every spring. It is a one day event (i think) that is supposed to be amazing because Holiday World is soooo nice to ACE members and offers massive amounts of ERTon The Legend and The Raven (hence the name Stark RAVEN Mad). I think this years's event had 7 hours of ERT if I read it correctly. I have never been to Stark Raven Mad but I hear it is so much fun. I plan to attend it in 2002.

SRM is the world's greatest coaster event...... although the lines are starting to get long... its not such a "secret" anymore
The staff @ Holiday World are not just nice to ACErs, they are nice to everybody. Even if the lines get really long (and I'm talking hours) it would still be worth it to come just to get the rare chance to ride Raven at night. The Legend is IMO the best coaster I've ridden and is great day or night. But Raven takes on a special personality in the pitch black. Take at least one ride in the back seat in the dark. THEN you will know what I mean.

Jeremy and I hit our first SRM this year. The park impressed us both -- him enough that he's already gone back (lucky stiff! ;) )
I'm planning on attending SRM again next year, and dragging some other Holiday World newbies with me.

Yeah, it's not an ACE thing, really anyone from any club is welcome and people come from all over the country to attend this thing. The ERT isn't all that "E," but two or three rides each on Raven and Legend at night are nothing short of religious experiences.

Actually, it looks as if it will be on May 31 in 2002. That puts Coastermania the next weekend - and my guess - Timbersfest the weekend after that.

Also Jeff, the ERT has been "E" on some occassions. I saw you at last year's and there wasn't as much "E" in the ERT. But if you can stick around till the end, you can pop in some nice re-rides. :)

yeah SRM looks like a lot of fun i hope to get to it this year but its kinda affects school but if i know my material i can go and to CoasterMania! as well as TimbersFest so i need to do real well this school year or im screwed.

I rode The Legend 3 times with ERT (not SRM) at night and it was totally awesome. There were only enough people to load 1 1/2 trains. On my 2nd ride in ERT, we over shot the brakes by at least 20 ft. so they had to send us through again! :)
I didn't like The Raven as much as The Legend, but it's still a great ride...better at night. If this event is pushed up until May 31, I may be able to go because we get out of school before that! That would be awesome! Stark Raven Mad and Coastermanin 2 Fridays in a row! :)
