What is it like to ride a Flying Dutchman ?

And another thing titan X-flight nor Batwing are worth a two hour wait only a couple of coasters are. One Goliath, Two Any CCI over 3,000 ft, And Three Riddlers Revenge

FLYINGGGG!!!!!:):) Its a beautiful feeling.
Feels like you are flying a hang glider that is attached to an inverted coaster track. An incredibly exciting and freaky experience.

Gravity is your friend while riding a coaster. Your enemy when you trip and fall off a cliff.
I've only been on Stealth, but the experience is unique to say the least. The very first time you ride it, and they recline the seats in the station, it's a very strange feeling since you are in a lying down position. But once you flip over and stare right at the ground, it really feels like you're flying even though you're not exactly in a total "lying down" position. You're sort of half sitting more than lying down. The positive G's on the Flying Dutchman's are intense.
My only complaint about them are slow loading times. Each time I've ridden Stealth, the loading times were slow to the point where the other train would complete the course and sit on the brakes waiting for the train in the station to leave.
Another thing to note is that for some, the G's you pull going through the loop are really intense. Almost to the point of being uncomfortable, at least to me. But other than that, they're great rides.

My current top 5:
1)Goliath 2)Vertical Velocity(SFMW) 3)Medusa(SFMW) 4)Stealth 5)Riddler's Revenge

I have ridden Batwing and X-Flight. It is a nice expierience except it can get disorientating and vibrates like crazy, The loop is the best part easily the helix is nice except they could have mad it longer and tighter turning radius.

I can't wait for B&Ms Flying which will blow Stealth and its clones out of the water. AIR will have a outside corkscrew which Vekoma said was impossible, I would love to go through a outside loop on a Flying.

I would compare the experience of riding a Flying Dutchman to the closest I've ever felt like dying on a coaster. The flip over at the top is very scary. After 22 rides on Batwing, I'm still not used to it. I don't think the loop is as bad as people make it out to be, but it is intense.

Duke, you haven't ridden Air yet, but yet you think it will blow the Dutchman's out of the water. Why don't you wait until you can actually ride Air to make that statement?

Well, to simulate what it feels like while you're waiting to leave the station, you will need a sofa and a 300-pound assistant. Lay on the sofa with your back on the base cushion, your legs resting against the back cushion and bent at the knees so that the backs of your legs are draped over the top of the sofa. This means your head is hanging off the edge of the base cushion and dangling towards the floor. Okay? Now have your 300# assistant sit on your chest.

Well now, that is why when they secure the vest, you make sure you are holding your breath, so when it is locked, you have some room.

It is an awesome ride, very intense. The best seat IMO is the back. Try sitting in the back of the train, and remember to take that breath.

Another thing, I didn't get the feeling of falling out at all, that is why I was a little disappointed. It's a rush though.

I jast saw the video of the Flying Dutchman on Vekoma's site. So I was thinking , it would be awesome if instead of the trains moving forward , the were going backwards, then you would not see whats coming at you.  any opinions ?
Define "backwards".

When you board X-Flight, you actually board facing the rear of the train. That way, when the seats recline, you move head-first out of the station.

In much the same way, how do you define an "inversion" on one of these things??
