What is happening w/ the ECO trip?

I was wondering if there was going to be an ECO trip this year, more importantly next year. I'm a senior next year and am planning on going on the ECO trip as my senior trip. How much does it cost and what are the dates.

There is none this year, you would have heard about it.

As far as I know, none for next year. It's too expensive to do on that regular of a basis.

I believe one before last years' was in 1996, so no, they don't happen very often. There's an incredible amount of planning to go into something like this.

That's not to say that some other club, like NAPHA, might not go before then.

Heh, that's true, the acronym isn't all that clear. "ECO" refers to last year's European Coaster Odyssey. Search for Sean Flaharty's or my trip reports from last summer.

Ah, yes, the European Coaster Odyssey. I have head quite a lot about this event (and who could forget the Southport video Mr. Alvey has up at ThemeParkReview.com?). Thanks for the clarification.

From what I've seen in ACE, the ECO happens about every 5 or so years. Its just such a long, extensvie undetaking to plan and operate. (Not to mention expensive)

Last years, was by all acounts a great one. You may want to check and see if any other coaster clubs are doing something. Or piece together some trip reports from last years ECO and try to plan something out for yourself.
