What is Fright Fest like at SFKK?

This is our first year with passes and was wondering if it's worth a day trip or just an evening? Any details would be greatly appreciated. I read that there is a haunted house but I was in one of thiers before and it was just a dark maze basically. Is it better now days?? That has been 4 years ago probably. Thanks

Dark. Especially at night.

Only the front side of the park is decked out for Halloween and has roaming characters. Before SF it was much better, but I heard they might be adding a 2nd haunted house this year in the back of the park.
