WHAT IN THE WORLD?

I have a roller coaster video( like something from the Discovery Channel). And I am just noticing that on the OuterLimits Flight of Fear part, they show the statistics. Every thing matches up- The launch, the max. speed, and then at the bottom it says "Unique Features- 25 Vertical turns, and 30 Horizontal turns"

What in the world is a Vertical turn and a Horizontal turn. I have been on Poltergeist, which is a clone, and I dont even think it HAS that many turns to begin with- let alone Vertical and Horizontal turns. Please help me to understand what they are trying to say.

I think it's fair to assume, that a horizontal turn is a level turn, and a vertical turn is one that rises or falls while turning.

Take a look at this picture:

and you can see what they mean. Although it is a little misleading, and it doesn't quite look as though there are THAT many turns all together.

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) Timber Wolf

I think averical turn is a drop, and a horiizonal one is a turn. I am assuming that if you have a curving drop it wuod count as both a verical and horizontal urn.
