What have you been hit by?

If you've ever been stung by a wasp before, imagine getting stung on the ear going about 35 mph.  I got nailed last summer sitting in the front seat of Double Loop at SFWoA.  Talk about painful.

While I wasn't stung, I know what you're talking about loriu.  Bees and wasps were found in unusually high numbers this pst summer at SFWoA.  I remember a visit in August (School Daze Coaster Craze) and riding the Loop.  I was the only one on board and when the train was released into the tunnel, I remember covering my face in fear as the entire tunnel was just FILLED with stinging creatures.  It was the scariest ride I ever had on the Double Loop.
The only thing I was ever hit by was someone's hat on the Big Dipper.  It didn't cause any damage. I also caught my own keys out of mid-air on the Magnum several years back.  It would have been a long walk home without them!

I've never been hit with anything, but I agree with Homey:  If I got hit with spit, I would wail on someone.

Let's see, barf on the last bunny hill on Magnum just inside the tunnel.  Someone asked if they added a water spray.  All it took was to look at the sick woman towards the front of the train as we came into the station.  Also rain on Shockwave and Tidal Wave.

I also took a pair of sunglasses to the face on the first drop of the American Eagle one time.

That's what happened at PKI on the Swinging Ship.  Some kids spit on this guys baby (supposbly) and he hit them.  He was yelling at them and making a huge scene.  The ride ops handled the situtation very poorly, since both the kids and family left before they called security.

Last spring I got hit by a shower of coins on SROS at SFA.  Some guy put his change in his shirt pocket and when we hit the bunnies it flew up in a shower.

My friend and I were on Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags America and when we got off she said "oh my gosh, where is my pager?"  Some guy 3 rows back had it in his hand!

I have also riden this ride in the rain.  Actually, the rain had stopped and the ride had jsut re-opened and we had the train that was sitting in the rain.  Half-way through the ride (on the third hill) a pool of water that was sitting in the bottom of the train came up and hit everybody in the face.  It hurt, but it felt funny too!  It also made for a quick cooling off!

One time, we got caught n a heavy sand storm on Desperado. OUCH...
I've been hit by a myriad of coins on Titan..mostly on the drop but once or twice going over the bunny hill..I still cant decide which hurt worse, I just know had I kept them, I'd be rich ;). Hitting a downpour at 88 MPH also isnt very comfortable..but it is FUN!

I also had someone's Six Flags over Texas sport quart bottle fly back and miss my head by inches on Shock Wave. That was an experience, and the coke was very cold. The sport quart then smashed on the track and broke. That was interesting.

Brian, I have been hit by spit, vomit, snot, and saddest of all... URINE (I am pretty sure).  I was at SFMM, and there was a lot of punks carrying around those water guns that look like Uzis.   They are illegal now, I believe.  Anyway, this was back in the 80s and I was in line to ride Collossus, when a few of the guys went into the restroom to get what I believed was water for their guns.  Well, once we were all on the ride, they pulled them out of their shirts, and turned around to start nailing the entire train.  I was probably 2nd car from the back...I didn't get soaked, but all I can say is it didn't smell like water, if you get my drift.  Others thought the same thing.  To make it a good ending though, I guess I should say that they were caught after the ride by a couple of very irate guys up front, and basically beaten until security came.  I was probably about 15 feet away from the fight, but I will never forget the sound of one of the kids getting punched.  He was being held down by this HUGE dude, and when he hit him in the face, I felt it where I was standing as a crude 'thud' under my feet.  Wow....

You guys are so lucky! :)

I was riding CorkScrew at Cedarpoint and when we hit the bunnyhop before the loop somone had a set of banonculars on them and they flew up in the air then when we went into the loop they flew off the persons neck and past my face by less then a foot! they wherent so big thou but still if there flying at you that fast there going to hurt soemone! Also on a few rides i feel drops of wetness hit me...hummm i wonder what it is? I go wash my face after that... (darn people spitting off the front seat) Oh yea and i rode a few coasters in the rain the most painfull was on Steel Force,it was raining very lighty but then by the top it started to get bad then before we got to the helix it was downporuing! it hurt really bad and i was int he front seat... it felt like shards of glass, And while waiting inline for Viper at SFgadv some guy thought it would be smart to take his bag on the ride with him and he was holding it really tight but he fogot to close it up properly and when it was going into the first inversin a few things came flying tord my way including a cell phone and some other stuff then when it went into the first inversion some more stuff fell out!  I even think somthing got caught in the wheel becuase after that they closed the ride for a few mins and kelpt checking under the train and test ran it a few times.

I was in the last seat on Superman: ROS at SFNE last summer and the guy in the very front seat lost his hat going down the first drop.

Well... I had my hands up and....

You guessed it!  Bingo, right into my hand went his hat.  We couldnt have done it again if we tried 2,000 times.

On the Beast, I thought I was being hit by loose pebbles, but then it dawned on me that they were gnats.  I was sitting in the front seat of the Beast.  It wasa near the evening.

3- Bugs on a nighttime ride of BKF. Front seat.

2- A tree branch rising into the dive loop on Kumba. Another front seat ride.

1- A HUGE gob a spit in the eye on Magnum a few years ago. I was in the back and bam- right in my eye. I wear glasses and I always use to take them off. Never again after that happened. I always wear my glasses or shades now on coasters.
