What happened to the Arrow Pipeline?

I know they said the coaster was too expensive back in 1991 but its 10 years later, how come they haven't brought it back.

Also is this the same as the ARROWbatic?

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
No, the ARROWbatic is an inverted wild mouse.

One pipline coaster that was supposed to be put in, was at Alton Towers but the project turned into either Nemesis or Oblivion.
-------------
There are currently 11 coasters with the name Batman, 8 with the name Superman and 22 with the name Boomerang. Batman and Superman: The Ultimate Chiller Knight Flight Krypton Escape Ride.
It's definitely not the same as the Arrowbatic, although they share some characteristics. The trains for Pipeline sat down in the track and the persons ear was level with the pipe on either side. I forgot what program I saw it on, but this made for a unique challenge. When the car would twist the persons head was mere inches from the track! They had to come up with a partition on either side that looks similar in nature to the 4th Dimension.
I saw the track and a long explanation (by a very boring Ron Toomer) on my AGRTI3D video.

Great American Hamburgers:

The Intamin Pipeline is in Korea (Lotte World is it?). It is currently SBNO the last I heard. Perhaps it's even dismantled now. It is (was) mounted inside a building, and it caused structural problems which forced it to be shut down. A Korean friend showed me some pictures, and it looked fun, however even as he said, it's not really a rollercoaster, as it is powered by motor-driven tires through a lot of the circuit, as was necessitated by the building.

Now that I think about it, there may have been a picture in one of those rollercoaster books from the last few years. But if I remember right, it didn't do the ride much justice.

America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills in 3D (I forget which one, although it is an older one). It is the one that has Viper (SFMM) on the front.

I don't think that's a Pipeline. The coaster in Korea was built by Togo for starters.

Amen! He's the coolest.

And I was curious...someone else said that the Arrow Pipeline was similar to the 4-D. So does that mean that the Arrow Pipeline evolved into the 4-D model?
That one in Lotte World IS the Arrow pipeline. The one planned for Alton Towers was SW1, which was cancelled as the short prototype Arrow built for Alton proved that there were severe energy losses on this type of design, causing the trains to stall. (Bear in mind Alton have really strict heightregulations). The Spiral Coaster in Lotte World, is the same ride, only the track is lined with wheels, to help the train along!!
Togo have built pipelines, the Ultra Twisters, there's 1 at SFAW.

That was one of the fears that Arrow engineers faced while designing it. They need a wheel-drive system to pull that train throuh, in the event the train lost momentum, it was more trouble than it was worth. It got stuck on several model runs, but did fine on the prototype.

The pipeline coaster at Sky Plaza, Lotte World, Pusan, South Korea was manufactured by Intamin.
