Has there been any litigation instigated? The fact that the manufacturer sold out after completion may have something to do with it.I have heard rumblings that the accident was the result of "over maintenance" i.e. they tore down and reassembled the trains way too often. Not a fact, just what I heard.
I'm not sure what you mean here. Morgan and Chance formed a merger, hence Chance-Morgan Rides. All there rides/services are still covered by the new company. Therefore, they did not "sell out" by any means. Just take a look at the new ride at SFM.
I also have a thought of the status of the ride. A few CB members have thought that a re-design of the trains may be in the works. Although possible, I don't see it happening. A redesign would have to be very similar to those already on-track in order to work. The shape of the trains has alot to do with speed/wind factor, alot! Also, what could the park/Chance-Morgan differentlt, from my understanding of the maintance of the ride, it was over-inspecting(if that's even possible) I can see this coaster sitting where it is for at least another 5-10 years.
I hope that they get SD2000 up and running. Although I've never been on it, it looks like a really fun coaster. It's really sad that it has been down for so long.

Back OT, even if the park did decide to sell SD2K, what parks (that could afford it) have the room, and could fit this into their ride lineups without it being something too off the wall for the park? (I.E. no Disney)
I really hope they keep it, make the needed adjustments, and have it opened by the time I get over there.

Indeed. I about fell off my chair when I read your first post. But of course it shouldn't surprise you that I love that movie as well. :)

So no one else has the unhealthy obsession with the movie that I do? It's worth it just the 80's rocker chick version of Jennifer Aniston.
Uh oh...I'm a Winston guy, myself. Although I actually quit (again) just over a week ago.
Sheesh. I'm off to smoke. Marlboro, of course.
