What happened to all the coasters at Opryland?

I'm curious at what has happened to these coasters since the park close a few years ago.
i looked up one there coasters the wallbash cannon ball and it's sitting in a corn field at the old indiana fun park, and it's in pieces. but i do know that hang man was relocated to six falgs marine world and called kong
Most of the rides, including the coasters, went to the Old Indiana Fun Park where Premier Parks was planning on reopening the park with the rides. After Premier Parks acquired the Six Flags parks, and then became Six Flags, Inc., the project got set aside. So all the coasters are sitting in the old parking lot for the park except for the Vekoma SLC, Hangman, which is now at Six Flags Marine World as Kong. You can go to the Roller Coaster Database ( http://www.rcdb.com ) to see pics of the rides as they appear now.

::sigh:: memories... the cannonball was my first looping coaster. I also remember my mom telling me that I wasn't allowed on Hangman because it looked too intense for me. and then there was the bobsled coaster which was broken down when I decided to ride it at the end of the day. good times.

Here are a couple In. Fun Park sites

Wallbash is not spelled Wallbash, it is Wabash as in Wabash Cannonball, Wabash, Indiana, or Wabash River.

This is a guy who worked at Old Indiana Fun Park and helped design it. http://www.users.qwest.net/~schumacherabds/

This is a news release from '96 about a conditional reopening of the park after the accident.

Old Indiana Fun Park will never reopen the way it was, but I have waited everyday to hear news about a new park opening in its old location, which is now owned by Six Flags.

Dang! The Wabash Cannonball was my first looping coaster! I was a coaster priss back then but I liked it. Chaos was pretty weak but it's kinda sad to see the tracks wasting away in a field. Yeesh the Riverside Black Widow is in the same field in Indiana. Is this where coasters go to die? *** This post was edited by Figaro on 7/30/2001. ***
Here is a site for the little girl who became paralized at age 4 after the accident at Old Indiana Fun Park. Her Grandmother died at the same accident.

And here's what the site looked like about a month ago:

"Welcome to Old Indiana!"

That's a great caption, Dave!

One wonders why they would keep dismantled Arrow track. Given the rather non-clean weld cuts you'd think the long-term integrity of the track would be less than attractive.

I went to Opryland once. I heard that it was the last year it was in operation. I rode Hangman and (I think, my memory may not be correct) an indoor rollercoaster type ride. For the life of me I can't figure out what it was. Was there an indoor rollercoaster there? If yes, does anyone remember what it was called? If my memory is correct, it was my first indoor rollercoaster.
Chaos was an indoor coaster. It basically went around in circles down hill while a light show went on around you. Of course when i rode it the lights weren't working. *** This post was edited by Figaro on 7/31/2001. ***
Lisa Marie, the indoor coaster was Chaos.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.
Dave- That mysterious ride gondola, the yellow one with the colored seats, looks like its from SFEG's old Vekoma Sky Flyer (Western Roundup). There should be two gondolas, though. The ride structure is at SFEG's employee parking lot.
Jeff, I would guess that it is not too hard to put Arrow track back together. The old 'Python' @ SFA (nee 1/2 of Lightning Loops @ SFGAdv) is sitting out behind S:ROS. I still wonder what they are going to do with it...
