What good parks are in the Pennsylvania/Ohio area?

I want to ride some great rollercoasters without having multi-hour wait times. What parks in the Pennsylvania/Ohio are should I consider?

Thanks.

SFWoA, Hershey Park, Kennywood..

SFWoA is a great park. With its new resteraunt, tiger island, and reptile wild, they are really opening things that everyone can enjoy. I highley suggest going to the new buffet. The food was so tasty and the resturant had a very cool antmosphere. I cant wait until I eat there again :) :)

SteveWoA What buffet? I'm going there soon (hopefully opening day but if not the next friday) and I would like to check it out. How expensive is it? And which side/where is it?

If you go on the right days, even CP will have short lines. Go on a Wednesday or Thursday before school gets out. Even if you wait until later in the summer, the lines are not bad during the week (except maybe for Wicked Twister).I have been to Kennywood a couple of times on Saturday’s and it wasn’t very busy. But I did wait 1 to 2 hours for PR (hopefully this year will be better with the two trains).

Pennsylvania and Ohio combined are 500 miles east to west and 200 miles north to south. This is about a 100,000 square mile area. There are 30 parks and over 100 coasters. Can you be more specific about where?

Western PA & Eastern OH

Western PA - Kennywood, Conneaut Lake Park, Waldameer, Idlewild, Lakemont Park and DelGrosso's

Eastern OH - SFWoA, Memphis Kiddie Park, Cedar Point

Cedar Point, SFWoA and Kennywood makes a good trio.

Sorry for being so dumb, but what's SFWoA?

I'm assuming it's Six Flags, but what's the WoA?

And what do you think is a better park - Six Flags or Cedar Point?

SFWoA stands for: Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. It depends on what people's opinions are for which one is better. My opinion is that CP is better. (But that is just my opinion) SFWoA is good too!

Oh PLEASE god no! That's going to start horrible arguments. Let's just say they're both great, and both have their strengths and weaknesses. It's apples and oranges. They're totally different places.

Its realy up to you on what parks you want to visit.

For Ohio: I realy love Cedar Point and Six Flags Worlds of Adventure make sure you stop at both and not to mention Kings Island also ;). I love going out to Ohio every summer time.

Pennsalvania: I'd say Kennywood, Hershey, Knoebles and Dorney Park are just some of my favorites. Phantoms Revenge, Talon & Steel Force are worth a drive.

If you have little kids gotta go to SFWoA, rated #3 kids park in the world. If you want new rides that are "extreme" go to SFWoA. Most kids go to WoA, while the older crowd goes to CP. SFWoA is much bigger than CP(730:364), but CP has 5 more coasters. They both have some good flats, SFWoA just got 7 this year. Both have a great laser show, but CP's is more of a laser movie while SFWoA's is more of a firework/moving laser show. CP is about 10-15 years older than SFWoA, but that doesnt matter

Does that 730 include the lake or unused land? CP seems to have so much more used space than SFWOA!

SFWoA technically uses that land, even though it's the lake. It's used for the Batman water show. There is also a bridge that goes across

He said that he didnt want to wait hours for coasters so then I dont suggest going to cedar point or sfwoa, I mean the wait isnt hours all the time but it usally is a good 1-2 hours depending on the ride.

the only park that you could go to in that reigon without big waits would be Conneaut Lake Park.

No Limit Chic, I'll answer your question.

The park got rid of Platters, and used the building for a new buffet, the Mandarian Buffet. Some awesome food I tell you. ;)

The price is $13.95 they told us, but that could change. If you think about it, it isn't that expensive compared to other things you get in the park/the value. You get really full! Plus, the staff is very friendly!

It is on the Wildlife side of the park, located by the "OLD" dolphin show. I say old because the dolphins are now in their new home, the same place they were at when the life side was Sea World. Make sure to check out Reptiles Wild, located right next door to the Mandarian Buffet!

Hope this helped!
