What Foreign Coaster Is This... Sweet Effect.

I haven't seen this yet posted here, but I may be mistaken... what coaster is this? It LOOKS like a Giovanola based upon the track style & coaster, but checking on RCDB, I'm just not finding it. From the looks of it, might be Hong Kong or Japanese (building styles).

Whatever it is, that definately looks sweet, a much better (and prettier) effect than Anaconda at Kings Dominion.

Anyone know what it is and where it's from?

That's "Vanish" in Japan... "Diving Coaster: Vanish" to be specific

It has OTSRs and no inversions... bummer.

Looks like a somewhat sexy little non-looping mega coaster... but I'm leary on the manufacture. "Senyo Kogyo Co., Ltd." ? Is that a subsidary of Arrow & Giovanola, 'cause the track looks Arrowish & the train-style looks Giovanola... although small, looks fun.

It's an ok little ride. The splash effect isn't really noticeable on-ride, but is really cool for spectators.

It's at Cosmo World, but since several people here already posted the link the RCDB site, I guess you figured that out by now. To be quite honest with you, the best ride at Cosmo World was the Log Flume. You actually get airtime on it. I really liked the park, everything was literally stacked on top of each other. If you would like a good read on the park, then check out the Japan Trip on ECC's website. They have a good amount of photos there. *** Edited 3/17/2006 12:47:11 AM UTC by Coasterphan***

Funny how this topic pops up at least once a year ;)

....and then Vanishes again? :)
Whenever I see a thread called "what coaster is this?" (or "Was ist das für eine Achterbahn?", or "ou est le rollercosteur?") I want to type "Vanish" without even looking at the picture.

This must be the most prominent coaster around the world. Where do people find this picture?

Well, Break.com was where I stumbled across it. Usually I'm fimilar with some of the foreign oddities in coasters, but this one caught my eye... mainly 'cause it's overseas, it's made by a manufacture who never made another coaster before or after this one, and it's got no record-breaking feats except a cool effect that can make for one Kodak moment!

That's pretty cool. I would like it better if it actually dived into a lake instead of a shallow pool.
IIRC, there is a pov avaliable on theme park review dot com ;)
