I have been searching about this for several months now and this is what I came up with. After the accident Old indiana action off all of its ride which was mostly bought by premier or sixflags. After sixflags bought some of the rides it also bought all of the parks land. premier then bought several rides from opry land which include three rollercoasters. Unfortunatly premier has not done anything to the park. They have several flat rides and rollercoasters in peices just sitting there. premier also has several secruity guards patroling the park constantly. It is my guess that they will wait for 2002 or 2003 and start to rebuild the park back to its glory and add a couple of coaster to take away business for holiday world and indiana beach. anyways I don't see this happening due to the fact that they just rebuilt gueage lake. But Sixflags or premier does have a reputation for buying defunt parks or dieing parks and rebuilding them back to thier glory. with any luck we will have a six flags over in indiana soon.
Does anyone have a map of the Old Indiana park? I'm just curious to what it looked like.

Also...if Six Flags Over Indiana happens...good bye Indiana Beach :( Maybe not, but they are only an hour apart...
I don't think it would put indiana beach out of business but make them more out to expand. One reason Indiana beach really doesn't expand that often is because they have no competion. I was surfin the net and found a website that has old indiana funpark what it looks like now. There was coaster tracks every where and a few flat rides lying around. The site was on a search engine about.com just search for and it take a look yourself
True about expanding - but how do you do that when you are out of space? Either Six Flags in Indiana will help Indiana Beach with business or ruin it...(I think). *Hoping for the best!

A six Flags would NOT ruin Indiana Beach--in MY opinion. Not EVERYONE is looking for--or seeking the biggest and best of everything in the amusement industry. I am one of those who are'nt. But be that as it may, IB has a value-and most importantly-a "tradition" that is not found in the larger parks. It is in a class all it's own that no matter what Six Flags offers--cannot be compared to.
This post brings up an interesting point. Seeing that Moss's Pier "target" site area is going to probably be near IB, I am wondering what the presence of my park would do to that park? We both are going to be "Traditional" and "Nostaglic" in our own ways, my park will be bigger though. Perhaps an "Indiana Park Chain" merger of a sorts:)
