What does everyone think about carowinds new ride

I know it's not open yet but I was wondering what do you all think about it. I get a PKD pass every year and I'm not far from this park, but the one time I went I wasn't to impressed about it. Do you think this will improve the park a little or a lot. Also what does everything assume it will open. I'm thinking about going opening day.

I think Carowinds is a fine park. You didn't say the last time you visited, but I visited in 2002, and thouroughly enjoyed myself for the six hours I was able to spend there. I think visiting PC is almost visiting PKD anyway. I mean they have the Hurler, Richochet (a little bit different), Scooby-Doo PTC junior, Taxi-Jam, and Thunder Road (which I hear is a clone of Rebel Yell). Where else can you ride a coaster through two states? Top Gun is right up there in the top five B&M inverts as far as I'm concerned, and they also have the world's first interactive water coaster. As for your question about the new ride improving the park, well, have you ridden Batwing? If you liked it, then yes it's an improvement. If you didn't, then no, it probably won't make you want to visit again.

Having been on Stealth at PGA, I'd compare it to the most recent installment(s) of the Star Wars series. A lot of hype and anticipation, a long freaking line, and getting off not having *got off*. I'm sure it would have been more fun without the 3-hour wait, single train operation with a row down and large groups accompanying handicap persons taking half a train every 3-4 cycles. Not that I have anything against handicap folks coming up the exit. It was just a looooong wait. The Tidal Wave (R.I.P) was great and well worth the 30 second wait. ;)

I think the relocated Stealth will do wonders for this park. The current existing attractions will do a great job in making it stand out apart of the crowd and will be a hit among park-goers. I personally did not enjoy Stealth that much when it was still at Paramount's Great America - a lot of hype and a cool concept, but it was very uncomfortable and pulled akward G's - the capacity was also horrible. I hope they tend to this problem before it opens up at Carowinds.
I was there in 2001. And yes I have been on the batwing I do like that ride. I think it's fun. I'm not sure why the park didn't impress me but for some reason I wasn't thrilled with it. I did like Top Gun but that was the only coaster that I really liked. I pertty sure we are going to give them another try this year, I hope the coaster will be open when the park has opening day.

I think it goes a long way toward making the park quite ugly.

The color scheme is absolutely revolting.
Don't listen to the haters, N, Carowinds is getting its 5th coaster in 6 years, its cleand up the park nicely, re-themed some areas that needed it(with the exception of County Fair, which needs some sprousing(sp?) up). I think this will do find for the park, as Smurf Island has been desolated for a long time.

I'm still excited to see what the theme is for this one. There is literally alot they can do. The park has come along way since the mid/late 90's, though. All it needs is a few more re-themed areas/renovated areas, and it will be a 5 star park, instead of a 4 star park:).

Carowinds is actually my favorite park and i ahve been to a few. PKD i odn't think is in anyway like Carowinds....TOTALLY DIFFERENT! Top Gun : The Jet Coaster is my favorite out of all the inverts i have been on, no it isn't the most intense but it is definately the most fun and that is what counts. Plus I think after this new coaster addition many new people will go and visit the park. The only complaiont about Carowinds is that they need to update most of there lats...Don't get tride of the Scream Weaver!
If you've already been on Batwing, you may be a bit disappointed with the Coaster Formally Known As Stealth. One of Batwings highlights, the helix finale, is missing from the CFKAS. And the corkscrews personally did nothing for me, might as well have been inline twist like the others since that's exactly what Stealth's felt like.

I'm happy for Carowinds to get our former Flyer, but personally I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Like others have said, if they can improve the capacity and comfort issues, it should be a great addition for the park.
