What do you think of Batwing?

I went to SFA in August.  Batwing was my first flying coaster.  I thought it was awesome.  I thought the g-forces were great.  It is so unique.  It was a great experience.  What does everybody think of it?
I have been on X-Flight, a clone. Does that count? I liked it, it was different and new, but it doesn't compare many other coasters. Good, not great. A little bit too slow. And I was stapled unmercifully.
I rode X-Flight and i was very impressed, i imagined a much rougher ride from verkoma, but it wasn't that rough.  but after i rode it all i could think about is how a B&M Flyer will be like.

Your right...it was an extremely smooth ride even though it was from Vekoma...and yes X-Flight does count, I should have included that in the post.

That's what I have heard many people, non-enthusiasts and enthusiasts alike, say.  (Very similar reactions to what I remember from when SLCs first came out)   I thought Batwing and X-flight were OK, but I fear they will not age terribly well.
I can't wait until we see a B&M flying coaster here in the states!  I have a feeling it will blow the other 4 or 5 brands of flying coasters away!  (Vekoma, Zamperla, Hoei Sangyu, the company that built Skytrak, ......)

I like it a lot, and it's very different from everything else I've ever ridden. As with any ride, you should experience it for yourself instead of asking for peoples opinions. Everyone experiences rides differently.

Batwing-Bow Down

I think Batwing is a totally unusual coaster experience. Most of the elements are simply fun. The part where the train turns upside down after the lift and the vertical loop are breathtaking. The rest of the ride is just fun, and I couldn't help but laugh the whole way through. It is slightly better than Stealth, also, because of the inline twists and the added helix. I also found the restraints to be snug but comfortable.
I don't know that I would call it a great coaster, but it is a very good coaster.  I like the loop about the best of any simple loop that I have ridden.  (I'm not much of a fan of loops.)  The drop onto the harness at the top of the loop is really nice.  The rolls are also nice, and my favorite part is the helix that feels like you are going to spiral right into the ground.  I hope the weather is good in October when the Coaster Zombie Invaxion will have ERT on Batwing.
A "unique" ride, but nothing spectacular. The part where you turn to face the ground at the top of the lift hill is pretty good, and the G's in the loop are too, but other than that, nothing spectacular. Give me a good old traditional wooden or steel coaster any day.

One of the most amazing and greatest coaster experiences I've ever had.  If I had to choose between riding Batwing and Millennium Force, I'd probably get in line for Batwing.
I Rode X~Flight and thought it was fantastic !

A completely new way to ride a coaster. I first hated it becuase it scared the bee~jeez out of me. Now I love it , yeah load times still suck, and the flight is over a mud patch. but the coaster itself is something every coaster Lover should experince

The twisting of the track at the top of the lift, the loop, and the helix are the stand out parts of the ride.  The twist at the top where the track inverts is surprising just because you don't know what it feels like.  You know it's there, you just don't know what to feel until you get there.  The loop felt great.  The G-force on that loop was surprising too.  When you watch the train go through the helix at the end, it doesn't look like it's going fast at all.  When you are on it, though, it seems like the harness is going to snap and you get sent falling to the ground.  It was a fun ride.
I rode batwing right before it was time to head back to school for me and it was a great coaster just a fun coaster!i cant wait to get on another flying coaster hopfully somtime in my life on a b&m flying coaster.i dident really feel the drop as much as i would have thought  but the loop well enough made up for it. but it seemed as if the ride wasent going so fast? who knows it was a realy good ride thou and well worth the wait! i loved the part where it did the barrle roll (how many  dose it do? two or one? eather way it felt like more then it was) going trou that part of the ride felt like i was ganna get piched out the train! i just thought the shoulder harnest wherent so comfortable,i mean it could have been worse but when my 200pounds of body pushed into the harnest it aplied preasure to my shoulders and wasent so fun but its ok,batwing was a great ride i wish i would have got more then one ride on it. (the line was too long) (about 1hr 40mins).
Batwing features two barrel rolls one right after the other. It really is a great ride but it could be better if they can ever run it according to it's design capacity of three trais and both stations.Surprisingly Batwing was a walk on when I was there last Saturday (9/16/01) Due to the fact that it had just re opened following a temporary shut down.I got in 2 rides in about 15-20 minutes.
When I first rode Stealth last year, I thought the design was amazing!  Then I got to ride X-Flight, and enjoyed the longer layout (and the reasonably "short" waits of ~45 mins.  Then I rode Batwing in July, same layout as X-Flight, but in a better location.  (Too bad wait times were ~1:45, or I would have ridden again - Oh, well, more S:RoS rides never hurt anyone, j/k)...
