What do you think about Perilous Plunge paint job?

That sides of the park needed something. I hope they pay close attention to the landscaping.

I think the colors will be fine if they accent it with decent landscaping.

I'm not exactly sure what I think. I guess it looks better than before though. I really like the new paint job for the Sky Tower though. It looks awesome.

Anything to jazz up that section of the park. It was completely dead looking. I'm all for it.

It goes O.K. with the blue they are using but that green is awfully bright!! It's almost chartreuse. I was just there Sunday and they were even up on the cherry-picker then.

I love it. Looks like something I'd make in RCT.

all things considered, don't be too surprised if PP doesn't get a new name to go with its new coat of paint. Got to see it last time in SoCal, Oct. '00, but it wasn't running.

I think that it would be awsome ifit was flouresent and they made Xcelerator like that too. They could put black lights all the way up it. It would be awsome for night time and during the haunt!

It looks really cool from Ghostie's lift if you look back... all calm colors throguhout the park, then an explosion of Bommerang Blue, Hammerhead Greens, Supreme Scream Sea Colors, Sky Cabin Patriotics, those giant VertiGo towers sticking out of the ground, now the new PP Deja Vu-ish colors, and soon the bright pink/orange and green Xcelerator!

Jon-Michael: Do you mean light it up in a way similar to Goliath?

That would be really cool, and not just during haunt!

I personally think PP looks ungly, especially next to a bunch of patriotic colors. If the green was not soo bright and, well ugly, then I would definitely not mind the colors. At least we know that KBF is not removing PP.

I think that Xcelerator could have the same affect given to it because it is going to be so big. That would be tight to ride Xcelerator at night and have those colors fly be you at 83 mph!

Honestly, I don't understand why they are giving it a new paint job. It's looks OK, I guess, but the question is why. Is this really going to convince people this is not the same ride that the claimed an ignorant woman's life? And someone mentioned that he/she wouldn't be surprised if they gave it a new name, like it would change people from thinking that it's PP. When a girl decided to standup on Timberwolf and go for a fly they didn't change the name, why should they do that here? Stupidity is not a reason to give a ride a new identity.

The name of the ride is not going to change. Im almost positive on that one. They are just painting it because it was realy in need of a new paint job. There was so many rust stains all over the ride. Realy looked horrible.

sfmmman2001, right AFTER the incident, the park re-painted the lagoon, run-out, and drop. Because of the investigation, the ride just stood there without running water. So basically, the ride already looked good to go for an opening. But why drastically soup it up with a GROSS jungle suited color scheme that IN NO WAY fits the 1920s California Harbor theme the ride carries?

Its looks alright, and well, its not pink lol.

Hey about the rust stains, I thought that kinda looked cool because if you look at Perilous Plunge's theming, isn;t it like a industrial loading dock or a pier of some sort? I thougt that the rust just made it look more "industrial."
