What do you all think about PGA this year?

PGA really surprised me this year. They have done a great job of theming(last year's theming stunk!) and their 15 new attractions rocks! 7th Portal is great. It's just like Spiderman at IOA. Psycho Mouse is the best Wild Mouse I've ever been on. The elevated seats on the cars are a plus. I don't what PGA did to Stealth over the off-season, but they really fixed it up for this year. Overall, PGA has done a spectacular job this year.

SFMW you better watch out!
i went to PGA this season but the last time i went i think it was the 1999 season but i can tell that they have improved over the years. now all they have to do is take out grizzly and add a new wooden coaster and ill like it better thatn SFMW.

are you ready to go vertical... v2... SFMW... 2001
I got a question for you ruffryfer56: Have you been to Islands of Adventure and ridden Spiderman? I experienced 7th Portal at PKD and while it was a good movie ride, it is not like Spiderman at all. Spiderman is a dark ride, and 7th Portal is a movie. (I hope my question didn't sound like it is in a nasty tone, I don't mean it that way)

I agree. I just returned from a day at PGA and they have done an excellent job with the park. The new Celebration Plaza is very nicely landscaped and much more open now. 7th Portal is finally a good movie to have in the Action Theater, along with Smash Factory. Psycho Mouse is a great little family coaster, but after riding it non-stop for about two hours at a t.v. news shoot with ACE, I've had my fill! ;) Stealth is running great, and they have two trains now, which is good. I recall them only running one for awhile this year. It's smoother than last year, and a little faster in certain spots. Overall it's a great ride that seems a lot better. Top Gun still kicks butt. It makes up for lack of length with strong g forces throughout the ride. Awesome. I just wish something could be done about Fizzly, er I mean Grizzly. That coaster is bad. It wouldn't be so bad with new trains, maybe PTC. Those Morgans are rough, and VERY tiny for a big guy like myself. Anyways, PGA is definately a better place to visit this year. Peace. :)

Because I'm an old guy, I may be the only one to beg to differ here. I like the new attractions and all, but I think they could have left the train and still built them. The mouse could have gone in the old Orleans Place as a replacement for the burger restaurant. The swing ride could have been placed where the Skyhawk was. Ok...perhaps they will put the room to good use with a coaster next year...but they had mananged in the past to put in rides that fit around the train.

I loved getting on that thing and riding past all the coasters whilst I rested my feet.

As for the grizzley...they should reprofile it. GCI? Where are you???

Decisions determine destiny; Destiny determines decisions.
This year, PGA does look a hell of alot better! I really like the fountains that the added in the pond in front of the carousel. Way to go PGA, for finally doing some sort of themeing.

Well Hidey Ho. I submitted a trip report a week or so ago. Man...I love their use of space and the scenery was great but I just had the worst luck with almost all of the rides (cept Grizzly and Demon). Stealth running smoothly? Yeah, they had two cars but most of the time the second car was at the last set of brakes with all of the passengers screaming and covering their faces from the blinding sun. Top Gun broke down at least twice that day. Drop Zone...oh nevermind I already posted my report.

I'm not willing to give up on the park but it was freaky how many rides broke down. I've actually only been on one ride or queue for the ride that broke down.

Get rid of Grizzly or get new cars and run it backwards or something.

Psycho Mouse was the first Mouse coaster I've been on and I love it. I've made tons in RCT but didn't really get the hang of why it's a fun coaster until I rode a real one. And it's a real good one.

Also, did Invertigo initially have 8 cars on the train? Cause it had only 7 and a weird empty space that looked like there should be one.

And why did they only give us coins (mainly the new gold dollars) for change? Is it some plot to fill our pockets with change and scoop under the rides for them later? Think about it...won't you.
did they remove the train just because of the coaster, or maybe low ridership. i think a park is really desperate when they remove the train. I didn't believe how a park could remove the train.
Well I *think* it's only a car on the train. At least it *looks* like it. Some people use *'s instead of "'s. I haven't decided which one I am.

On Invertigo you can't add more trains anyhow.
From what I heard from my friends who work at the park, about the train being removed, was because of low ridership. Plus, the park wanted to clear room for the TA2k, and also wanted room to put another coaster behind Rip Roarin' Rapids. The land cleared behind the IMAX Pictorium, from what I've been told, is going to be the location for that new s&s ride/coaster. Well, let's just hope PGA makes good use of the land they cleared!
