What coasters look great @ night

M.F.@C.P. is on the top of my list.
I heard that D.F.@ BGW was cool because the trains were illuminated.
Just from the pics I have seen, MF looks pretty cool at night with the multi-colored lighting. American Eagle at SFGAm looks great at night because it looks like the whole coaster is just glowing.

Pictures do not do Millennium Force justice. Two friends and I sat on a bench near the lagoon hills just staring up at that wonder. (Note: I've told this story before, so if you've been a member for a while, you can skip the next few lines. ;)) With the Summer Spectacular light/laser/sound show going on just around the corner, it was pretty loud. I leaned over to tell Joe, "Man, I wonder what that looks like from the causeway." He responded by telling me that he said the same exact thing to a few moments earlier, but I apparently didn't hear him, or was just blinded by the beauty of those lights. A few seconds after that, Todd, the other person sitting with us, looked at us and said, "I wonder what that looks like from the causeway."

There's my little "Millennium Force at Night" anecdote.

But seriously... I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Millennium Force's lights at night are the most beautiful, awe-inspiring thing man has created. It's a lofty claim, but in my book, it's the truth. If you need a 15th reason to go to Cedar Point, that's definitely it.

Ghostrider not only looks cool with the subtle yellow illumination but it is a better ride at nyte......
Hoosier Hurricane...but then again most all wooden coasters are lit up at night...but this one is right on the lake, so you see it's watery glow too.

Who was at BGW on April 28th.
I once had the pleasure of viewing Millennium Force on a boat from the Bay at night. I drooled :)

BEAST...well...you really dont see it at nite. You can Barely see it in the daytime. Millenium Force is great with the light display on it. And another great one at nite is Volcano at PKD! Those round out the top of my list.

I would say S.U.E it just looks great at night.
Yeah, I'll jump on the S:UE bandwagon. That deep red takes on an electric almost neon-like quality at night. Contrast that with a pitch black sky and you get a really bold and crisp look.

The Pepsi Max Big One looks awsome at night, as does the Hulk.
Mean Streak from the top of Power Tower on a slightly foggy night is nothing short incredible. If it only rode like it looks...
Lake reflections are great at night. MF, Judge Roy Scream and California Screamin come to mind. *** This post was edited by Jim Fisher on 4/30/2001. ***
MF looks awesome at night, but I also agree with Chitown that American Eagle is pretty cool at night because with the lights shining on the white wood it kind of makes AE glow.

It looked a HECK of a lot better when those lights actually worked! Now so many are burned out, it almost looks cheesy! :( I think goliath's lift hill looks pretty cool at night, with the green lights on the railing.
Goliath's green lifthill railing illumination at night is really spectacular. It catches your eye when you're driving at night on the nearby freeway. GhostRider's orange/yellow one is pretty neato too. But Millenium Force's flashy rainbow night show...whoo!

I have to say the Great Bear at Hershey. Even though the Great Bear is not the best inverted coaster, it still packs a hell of a punch. I think Great Bear is one of the most under rated coasters out there. It is completely black and the first time I rode it was at night. I could not see where the cars were going or what was next. It cam extremely close to the flying carousel and the zero gravity rolls made the ride exciting and intense. I also hear that the Raven, Boulder Dash and Legend are great at night, and also the Beast. Basically any great woodie that goes through the woods is great at night.
