A lot of us here have ridden a lot of coasters. Over time we get desensitized to some of the thrills. Many coasters, like an Arrow Looper, for example, may be exiting to many people, but for people like us, they are either a yawner, or too rough, or whatever.
The moment that it dawned on me that I was getting desensitized to the thrills was my first trip to Cedar Point after Dragster went in. I was scared to death to go on it the first time. I walked off the ride afterward feeling a natural high that lasted for hours, and annoyed the hell out of my traveling companions. I rode the ride several more times during the trip and it was never as thrilling. In fact, I found myself becoming bored with the ride.
So, now that the off-season is rapidly approaching, think about those rides that continue to scare us to this day, despite rerides.
The coaster that still scares me to this day, guaranteed, is Cyclops at Mount Olympus. It is a small, unassuming little woodie, with the best drop of ANY coaster on the planet, and it's the last drop on the ride! This is the king and queen and prince and princess of massive ejector air. Every time I ride it I think I'm leaving the ride. It is that sick.
So, what ride(s) still scare the crap out of you?
Certain victory.
The only coaster that ever "scared" me was the Cyclone at Williams Grove, simply because it felt like it was going to collapse at any moment! I liked it but I never felt safe riding that thing!

The Toboggan at Conneaut. That thing just hurts and fits snugger than a coffin.

Now no one laugh, but Leap the Dips at Lakemont scares the hell out of me. I have ridden it over 20 times and I always get that sick feeling in my stomach. It is so old and rickety and the side friction style just does it for me. Plus, the way that the track sags between the supports when the car runs over it. It will always be one of my favorite coasters but I think it will always scare the me.
Well I don't get scared on rides because I know I'm safe (except for maybe water slides at water parks) but I'll slightly reword the question to "What elements are still thrilling even after many years or rides?"
Hanging in the harness on the first raven turn on X2
Maverick's Stengal Dives
Tatsu's Dive Loop
The heartline roll on Scream!
The double heartline roll/foot chopper on the Mind Eraser/Top Gun clones
High-speed parabolic airtime hills (think Millennium Force, Goliath, Raging Bull, etc)
Flyingscooter I fully agree, I never rode the one at Conneaut but the one at Lakemont is scary... what if the role backs failed and the car fell straight down the silo into the car waiting... that's where my mind goes LOL Well I guess Lakemont has two coasters that scare the hell out of me.
On a side note, does anyone know where the one at Conneaut Lake went to? Is it in storage or did another park/collector purchase it?

It's still at Conneaut.

Gotta agree with Tina on WG's Cyclone. Raven in its initial confiiguration realyl did *get me* when I was a baby enthusiast. THE steel coaster that truly scared me - Chilla, lapbar configuration. That was totally completely awesomely off-the-hook scary. Way better than FrightFest, LOL.
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
I don't think any coaster I have ridden scared me, per se. But, I suspect the High Roller would give me some concern considering it is way up on that tower.
The 1st Generation Intamin free fall rides always terrified me, as do the Deja Vu clones. They all gave me the impression that the machinery was going to fail, and drop me to my death at any momement
Hands down.....x2
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
^^^^wahoo....much like the ones I listed, yours isn't too scary any more...it's on the front end of someone's car.
The Hi-Miler scares the hell out of me. I must be running pretty low on hell since I ride it every year it comes to the Del Mar Fair.
Ah, yes! The 1st generation Intamin drops! I love them but I always get that feeling that they are going to malfunction at any time.
I still ride them but I will never forget the time I saw Demon Drop get "wedged" at the top!

SFNE's Cyclone. I always feel like I'm going to die on that ride.
This. Only rode it one time, but on the turnaround near the first drop, the train hit the upstops hard, and it felt like we were going to derail. I heard the entire train yell "WHOA!" at the same time.
I still panic a little before riding a wooden coaster, simply because I never know what condition it's going to be in. I've had horrible rides on well-reviewed woodies, and I've had great rides on poorly reviewed ones. I was expecting the worst when I rode Predator this summer. It was merely in the bottom 10, though.

Got to agree.
That one and the Cascade Park Comet are the two where I felt my life was in danger.
