I don't know if you are talking about head banging or jerking like engaging on the lift. If you are talking about jerking then the Mine Train at SFoT jerks really bad when the lift engages.
Manhatten express is absolutly nasty, and SOB really bounced me around too much. Both rides that I mention here have train problems that can be elimated.
I love all coasters with the execption of Viper at SFGadv, Steel Phantom, and Grizzly.

John Peck: Out of sheer curiosity what are the train problems with SOB and how do you suggest that they be eliminated?

Lets see - top 3 - Son of Beast, Mean Squeak, and of coarse manhattan express. ME isnt really that bad if you consider the ammount of concussions a rider would recieve in one cycle on SOB or the Squeak IF they had OTS restraints.
Another notable ride would have to be the Wolverine Wildcat at Michigan's Adventure.

I enjoyed Wolverine Wildcat. Though, I must admit, I only rode it once. Something else kept distracting me...

I would say the Outer Limits ride at Kings Dominion and Kings Island and the Shockwave at SF Great America. Two major headache machines. That said, I still ride them whenever I'am at these parks. Just take some Tylenol.

a tie between outer limits and the wolverine wildcat at Michigan adventure.
2Hostyl asked what type of train problems SOB has and how I would fix them.
Well, I am not an engineer, so I don't really know the technical terms, but I will give it my best shot.
1. We all know SOB has a bounce to it, and I think this is caused by the train not properly tracking somewhere. Either the wheels are too small or there is too much play in the rails. The train may also be too light, so it wants to float a bit more than it should.
2. I don't know whether or not the trains are trailered or articulated, so I don't know if it has any effect on how the train makes its turns.
3. We should all be airborn on that second hill, and I think with the train bouncing and skipping the way it does, kills off a lot of the speed it has to begin with.
I believe it all has to do with the tracking.
As for Manhatten Express, it needs a longer train with different restraints that hold you lap in better and larger upstops. The shocks need work as well, since I feel like its riding on sandpaper. When the ride does the rollover, you can feel the train drop and inch onto the upstop, so if you make the wheel larger, it has a smoother transition.

The Bush Beast at Wonderland Sydney is the worst heat-beater there is! And someone said its clone, the Grizzly at PKD is even worse.
Manhatten Express is fun to ride, not that bumpy. It has the worst OSTRs ever which crushes my spine!

Raging Wolf Bobs at SFO on a fast day in the rear row of a car.
Ouch.
Mean Streak. Now heres a coaster that has potential yet it is ruined by trims. I know that this thing would tear itself apart, but the ride has become unbearable. My opinion: tear it down and make room for a smoother, better coaster.

I'd explain it to you, but your brain would explode.
The Iron Wolf

Vortex at PGA. Manhatten Express wasn't that bad in the front from what I can remember.

2001 THE WORLD MEETS THE X-TREME PARK...SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN
The Beast jerks the hell out of you in the double helix, especially with your hands up.
The roughest ride I have ever been on is Batman: The Escape at Six Flags Astroworld. If you sit in the front, it isn't as bad. Your head bang once or twice. But if you sit in the back; OW. The instant you get down the drop, you get banged around until the final brakes. If it was smooth it would be a great stand-up coaster.

I have three... The Grizzly at PGA the Hurricane at SCBB (I have hit heads with the person next to me during the dive in the middle of the ride several times) and the worst coaster I have experianced it the Demon at PGA
