What coaster is this?

I found this picture while going through my parents old slides. It was taken in 1980 in a public park in San Diego. They said the coaster was not operating at the time and they thought it had been torn down since.

I think it was an old picture of the Giant Dipper at Belmont Park but not sure since I have never been out there.

Wood Rules!

That is what I was going to say. Looks like before they did the rehab on it.

Yup, looks like the Giant Dipper to me.
That would be my best guess, of course it could be any coaster.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

Yeah, but I think at the time the picture was taken, the coaster was going by the name "EarthQuake". The first drop looks great though!
