What camera to buy?

What would be the best digital camera buy for me under $500?

I was thinking about a Canon Digital Elph. But I am not quite sure.

The digital Elph is one of the finest little cameras I've ever seen. I think for a "vacation" camera, that is one that doesn't get in the way, it would be near perfect.

Would it be good enough for a website?

Is it video capable?

Go to the Canon site. Do a search for reviews... the answers are there if you look for them.

Most modern digital cameras are adequate for publication to a site.

I live by C|net hardware reviews...

They have tons of digital camera reviews, and they allow you to compare cameras, as well as compare prices between different merchants.
The Digital Elphs (100, 110 or 300) are plenty powerful for websites. The newer models (110 and 300) have movie modes.

Good information on digital cameras can be obtained from sites like Digital Camera Resource ( http://www.dcresource.com/ ) among others.
