Darien Lake Wyandot Lake and Geauga Lake were all something owned before Premier...not Six Flags.I just don't remember the name
Funtime is the company name you are looking for.

1961 - Six Flags over Texas opens
1967 - Six Flags over Georgia opens
1971 - Six Flags over Mid-America opens
1975 - Six Flags acquires AstroWorld
1977 - Six Flags acquires Great Adventure
1979 - Six Flags acquires Magic Mountain
1984 - Six Flags acquires Great America
1996 - Six Flags acquires Fiesta Texas
I think it's safe to say that the parks that were acquired by Six Flags are to this day still known better by their original names than by their Six Flags handle. In Chicago, everyone always referred to Great America as Great America... the Six Flags name-change was almost unnoticeable. And now that I live in San Antonio, SFoT is known as just "Six Flags" or "the Six Flags up in Dallas," and Fiesta Texas is still just Fiesta Texas.

I don't know if all the parks fly six flags, but I know SFA does.

They should have left it "Six Flags Riverside". And anyway, how come Great Escape and Wyandot Lake have not been "Flagged"?
Good Question. This is what I found from the 2004 Six Flags Inc. Annual Report
Based on our knowledge of the development of other theme parks in the United States, we estimate that it would cost at least $200 million and would take a minimum of two years to construct a new regional theme park comparable to one of our Six Flags theme parks.
Well this quote is really talking about building a new regional theme park i think. Anyways as far as it goes it really does take up to two years and money to rebrand the park. It takes time, but these parks will get the flagged soon. Well I don't know about Frontier City. As you can see SF season pass don't work at this park. I can't explain that one to you. Maybe someone else knows. *** Edited 6/20/2005 12:43:00 AM UTC by SF Critic***
Bit of trivia: They were originally going to use the Confederate Flag instead of the Illinois flag at SFoMA, but since it did not fly over the entire state (only most of the south and then some other sparse areas up north) they opted for the Illinois flag instead (since it flys over EAST St.Louis). You know they could have used the Kingdom of Callaway flag. That was one of the counties here near MIZZOU that actually formed it's own country because it didn't want a thing to do with the war. However how many idiots in St. Louis would know what that one was. ;)
Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!
Then they changed Six Flags over Mid-America to Six Flags St. Louis and dropped the 'over', and I assume they did that because there were plenty of other SF parks that were more 'over' Mid-America.

Old South (Confederate) and USA are there, too.
Do they fly 6 US flags at all of their parks? I know SFOT has the real 6 flags, and AstroWorld used to, but I think they've all been replaced with US ones. I did notice that Dungeon Drop has French flags on its castle when I was there on Thursday, though.
Then again, Camden is run better than some Six Flags. ;)
