Kings Island has about 1200.
There are two parks coming that will be at least 1000 acres when they are built with much more room to expand. One in Mississippi and the other in Atlanta

God Bless Theme Parks!
If someone would just build a decent smaller family park with a few coasters in it, I think they would make a killing, for lack of any other kind of decent family entertainment. Of course, the high temperatures down here in the valley would force the park to be built up North in the higher country with cooler temperatures.
Oh well, it'll probably never happen anyway.
I believe that it's easily the biggest park in the US, if not the world
Do you happen to know those figures?

I sure wish that we could get a Theme Park in Arizona!I live in Phoenix and couldnt agree with you more. We are one of the top 5 largest cities, yet my "home" park is SFMM (350 miles away). Unfortunately, the main them park companies (SF and CF) are more inclined to purchase an existing park and transform it into a major theme park. We have only Castles and Coasters, which is in a mall parking lot. It was a miniature Golf place when they added 2 small coasters and a few flat rides. Possibilies of expanding Castles n Coasters are Zero. Based on its' success (or lack thereof), it would scare off even the largest theme park companies from building in AZ. NOTE: I have been to SFMM 3 times this year, Knott's twice, Cedar Point and SFWoA, but havent been to Castles n Coasters for about 5 years (I pass it almost daily). But what a great Winter Retreat would it be if there was a world class amusement park in Phx! I always thought it would be nice to see indoor air-conditioned queue lines anyway.
