What a difference 10 minutes can make. Cedar Point, 7/13

I cant tell you how many times Ive heard the GP comment on Mean Streak at the park though:

"That ride hurt my back 3 years ago Ill never go on it!"

(GP talking to a stranger on the train) "Whatever you do dont ride Mean Streak, it horrible.

GP #1: "I refuse to ride that one (pointing at Gemini)"
GP #2: "Mom thats Gemini, you like that one, its Mean Streak you hate."
GP #1: "Oh yeah, thats the smooth one isnt it."

That was only yesterday.

The ride isn't popular, but when CP swells to capacity every line is going to fill becuase for some reason, the GP who go to CP refuse to wait for a line that is on the midway. I noticed that at TTD yesterday, which for some reason opened about 10 min too late. I got in line right at 10, and was by the station, I cant tell you how many GP behind me and in front left the line because "it had to be a 4 hour wait" and "Im not waiting this long for a ride." Little did they know, it was in fact a 20 min wait, and the shortest they could have waited all day for it.

My biggest problem with the jumpers is this: One person does it to catch up with their group? It irritates me, but I'll let it pass. One person does it to catch up with their group and then invites their whole little posse to join up as well? I get super peeved. Whole little posse jumps in front of me and then sparks up a doobie and smokes it under their shirt right in front of me...I relax. LOL Just kidding. Totally inappropriate behavior with kids standing around. If I wasn't scared of their group, I would have said something. I DO tell ride operators about line jumpers, but usually, those same line jumpers are AHEAD of me and already on the coaster, so it's useless. Every now and then you get a loud, verbally outspoken crowd of anti-linejumpers, but most don't even say, "What the heck, man?" as they get rudely shoved aside. We live in fear of these little hooligans (and not-so-little hooligans). That IS one reason I could give for liking some parks better than others. At Great Adventure, due to problems in the past I believe, they have security guards stand at the entrances and at various points through or near the lines to watch for line jumpers. If anyone jumps line, they're forced to go to the end of the line by the security guard. They should do that at all the parks (ahem Cedar Point, Dorney, Hershey).

in march, i was at cedar point with two friends. in line for maverick a group of people cut infront of us, i wasn't going to say anything because they weren't the kind of people i wanted to mess with... my friend however, spoke up and ended up getting gang beaten. the police were very slow to respond and were of little help. they eventually caught the people, but, THEY LET THEM GO!!!! i was so angry.

end of story, no matter how angry they make you, just let it go, i would never want to re-live those moments... unless i had a gun.

i had to watch, thinking that i was going to see my best friend die infront of me, just so someone could save 30 seconds of their time.

You were in line for Maverick two months before the park opened? No wonder there was line jumping, the line was two months long! ;)
