Whalom Park...is it defunct?

I haven't heard much lately about Whalom Park in MA. Does anyone know if the grassroots effort to save the park from developers worked?
Not yet, but there's still hope

Thanks ThemeDesigner...great website link. Unfortunately it doesn't appear likely we'll see it open again.
At least some effort is better than no effort at all.

Please visit the small parks. We don't know what's happening behind the scenes

As I've mentioned before the park has been ravaged. Most of the rides are gone and the buildings are starting to be dismantled. I drive by the park every day on my way to work and it's very sad to see. If a miracle was to happen and the park was saved, it would certainly need a lot of work to get back into operational condition.
I want to know what happened to their Tumblebug. Hopefully it stayed local to the New England area.

I keep planning on stopping at the park and looking over the fence to see if the Tumble Bug is still there. I also hope that the Whip is saved, as well as the classic bumper cars. From what I can see from the road, the Yo Yo, Pirate ship, Octopus, Roto Plane, and Wave Swinger are all gone.
Maybe Whaloms Wave swinger is the one Canobie is rumored to get this season...

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone/B:TDK

I hope that someone will buy the coaster that is there so it doesn't become wood for a bonfire.

My mind works in strange ways. Yeah with a chain driven lift hill and gravity.

I think it was sent to a park in FL but they decided it didn't fit their plan so its up for sale again.

I saw pictures of Magic Springs taken when it was closed. The park was very ravaged, but it did get back into operational condition and reopened. I went to MS lastyear and really enjoyed my trip there.
