Whalom Park

In an effort to use the publicity from the fire to help Save Whalom Park, I am getting a group of enthusiasts together to hold up signs at the Park this Saturday. The ruins of the ballroom have been a draw for the reporters as well as the spectators. Many people have gone down to see the aftermath and reminisce.

We can take advantage of the traffic on Route 13 and along the Lakefront by holding up signs that encourage people to support the effort to Save Whalom Park.

The current plan is to hold up signs from 10 AM - 12 NOON this Saturday, March 9, 2002. We will meet at the Lakefront at 10 AM and, depending on the size of the group, divide ourselves between Route 13 and the
Lakefront. (If we get a ton of people out on Saturday, we can even do a satellite group in the center of Lunenburg.)

Please let me know if you are interested in coming down to the Park or if you have friends you can rally to come with you. We want to make sure that we have a critical mass of people coming.
