Thanks for the correction bigkirby.  You can bet some of my hard earned mony will be spent in moving this coaster over to my backyard!

Cheers

that is some really good news considering the way this thread began.  Thanks alot, bigkirby.  As much as I love new wooden coasters, there's a LOT to be said for rides that have some history in them already.  I abnsolutely HATE seeing these older coasters disappear...

Will they allow people into the park before it is torn down to get stuff. I'm pretty sure with the tearing down of the original Elitch's they had salvage missions.  I am not sure about what those were though cause I was like 10 and unfortunatlly not interested in coasters yet.
I Say send all the rides to Canobie!!!

Out of the coasters i've ridden here is wat i rank them overall:(ive been to canobie lake and SFNE)
1. S:RoS 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Riverside Cyclone 4. Canobie Corkscrew 5. Thunderbolt 6. Galaxy 7. Mind Eraser 8. Dragon coaster 9. poison ivy's tangled
We can't act like the park is dead yet. There are still a few months before it is even owned by the developer, let alone torn down. He put in a bid and the park cannot be turned into something else until an enviromental study is done and the property goes through rezoning.

wow, always kinda Deja Vu when these older threads come back to haunt us...

bigkirby, what I meant was that I was happy to see a coaster being saved from the wrecking ball, even if it wasn't the Whalom coaster. Considering the thread's title, it seemed like "the silver lining on the dark cloud". And I still remember the thread....

if the park does fail to stay alive, i dont think the whalom comet will go to sfne or lc because they both have two woodies. i think clp would be a great place to put some of the rides.
