While stumbling about Youtube I came across some serious West View Park footage. I'm talking about on-ride Whippet, Rock-o-Plane, views of the Tumble Bug, Trabant, Tilt, Scrambler, Flying Chairs, Haunted House, Boot Hill, Alpine Sky Ride, Spiral Slide, The Arcade, Fascination, Miniature Golf, Antique Cars, Caterpillar, Flying Skooters, Ferris Wheel, Miniature Train, Davey Jones Locker, Whip, Skooters and The Dips POV.
THIS would be the first video which is 9:20 long.
The second video discusses the decline of West View and has footage of some of the above rides and attractions as well as the Carousel, Round-Up, Tempest, Danceland(1973 8 alarm fire) and footage of a group of coaster enthusiasts taking one last ride on the Kiddie Dips. The rest is of the destruction of the park and where some rides went and what the area looks like today.
You can find that video HERE.It is 10:00 long.
Hope you like the video, now can someone tell me just exactly where the park was, I'd like to view the area from a satellite image! :)

Two things.
1) Thanks Gonch! Brain fart on my part, checking RCDB never crossed my feeble mind for some reason.
2) YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!! Friends of ours got married in 1992 and moved into a house on Renton Avenue, which is what, two tenths of a mile west of where the park was??!! We visited there at least once a year and even though the male portion of our friends was a lifelong resident he never even mentioned West View. Then again, he was from Bethel Park, south side, Kennywood territory...

That's a great video and thanks for sharing. I'm always amazed at how much fun those coasters look. The turn around on The Dips and that little bunny hop before the lift hill on Whippet are so unique. What a shame that place looks like an almost perfect traditional park with some excellent and unique coasters to boot.
