West Coast Coasters Part Two: KBF

Associated parks:
None

First thing we went to was the Ghost with the most, GHOSTRIDER. Words cannot describe this ride. It was unbelievable from the back row. Took another lap from a row just near the back and it was a lot BETTER. There was more airtime from the middle. I was stunned.

Next we move to the MYSTERY LODGE. An interesting show my family wanted to see. It was pretty good.

After that hit BOOMERANG, expecting a rough ride. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the ride, even if it did make me a little queasy going backwards through the cobra roll. :( I never ever get sick on coasters. Oh no!

Next went on PERILOUS PLUNGE. The drop was really cool, and unfortunately so was the water that drenched me on every single inch of my body. Once was enough for me.

Rode SUPREME SCREAM drop side, where I heard the funniest thing I’ve ever heard from a ride op.
As we were boarding, a kid on another tower asked the op "What are the chances of an accident on this?"
The ride op replied "Don’t worry this isn’t Disneyland."
Kid: "Don’t you mean Magic Mountain."
Ride op: "No, that wasn’t Magic Mountain’s fault."

Rode MONTEZOOMA’S REVENGE next. Again, going backwards through the inversion made me a little sick. I didn’t like Montezooma’s Revenge as much as Boomerang.

Next came JAGUAR!. I really like this ride, I don’t know why. It was just very fun.

Later we went to GhostRider and I got three more rides in. I’m just amazed at how much airtime you get on the hills that are curved and at how fast the train moves through the entire ride. Unbelievable!

Rode Jaguar! once more, then went back to GhostRider for a final trip before leaving. I had to say goodbye to an excellent ride.

Overall, Knott’s Berry Farm was a nice park, very different from most parks because it is much more family-oriented.

I also rode two Las Vegas coasters during this trip, MANHATTAN EXPRESS and SPEED: THE RIDE.

MANHATTAN EXPRESS seemed to crawl through the whole ride, and the restraints were kind of painful. I liked it because I like coasters, but it’s definitely not one of my favorites. To quote Homer Simpson, it "gets my lowest rating ever, seven thumbs up."

SPEED was a very cool ride, I especially like that they let you ride twice at a time because it is kind of short. The launch was very intense.

Just a quick note: all sides on Supreme Scream are unfortunately drop. Glad you liked my personal favorite, Ghostrider! I think that ride always amazes everybody.
Thanks for telling me that all sides were drop on Supreme Scream. I wasn't sure because one tower was closed on the day I was at Knott's.
I know what you mean about Ghostrider, it seems every change in direction results in negative g's. Not a bad seat, nor a bad ride able to be taken on that coaster. Just so perfectly orchestrated and paced! It's astonishing that some people say it's dissapointing.
