Weird question about mega parks.

Does anyone know the answer as to why some people have mega parks with all the land used, over 15 roller coasters, 3,000 people in the park, and over 100 employee's and they can still build stuff and hire employee's. But with me when I get a good park going with 6 coasters, 30-40 employee's, and 1200-1500 people in the park it always there are 2 many people in the game I can't do anything else. tis had happened to me with 10 parks . Has this happened to anyone else? What about you guys that have built those mega parks, whats your secret? How do you get so many rides built and so many people in the park with out having that problem? Someone please help me.
Hmm. I was thinking that the numbers of guests and rides and employees was hardcoded in the game, so once you reach a certain number of sprites, no more can be made. I guess I was wrong. That means it's probalbly dependant upon how much RAM you have.

Possibly trainers (though I don't use them and have never had this problem - I don't know if I've gotten that high, though), or maybe it has to do with the amount of memory in different computers, speed of the CD drive, something technical like that.

I heard the game is limited to 5000 sprites, which includes anything that moves (ducks, peeps, trains, water, litter) or is a built (rides, scenery, paths). It probably includes the weeds on the grass since they grow during the game. I also heard that even puke on the paths counts toward the 5000. I have maxed out on the number of rides (255) and staff (116) in one of my parks, and still been able to have over 2000 peeps in the park.

Try an experiment and run the TRG/SAK trainer. Sweep the paths, mow the lawns, and shoot the ducks and see if this allows you to build more. It might also be because you have "too much scenery" becuase you are using items that take up 1/4 square. This could cause you to reach the 5000 sprites much sooner than using the larger scenery items.
RCTNut where can I find the TRG/SAK trainer?
You can shoot the ducks? I know you can make them "quack", but shooting?

You can find it at

I think it is one of the more stable trainers, although it doesn't have quite as many features as DragonsIOA.

And yes, you can shoot the ducks (which is nice if you have frozend the clock when the ducks are migrating in - one game I froze the clock and ended up with hundreds of ducks that came in but never left).
How? Or is it a trainer thing? I don't use trainers, but the ducks usually aren't a problem - but it would be, well, interesting! :)

well in the PKD2001 park that I downloaded I only have 24 mechanics and cannot hire anymoreso it must have some sort of limit that is pre-set.
Thanks RCTnut.
The only thing bad about the TRG trainer is that it made my computer addicted to the freeze time setting. Whenever I try to play w/out freezing the time, it stops after about 20 seconds and says that the data file was innacessable.
Here's a possible fix for your problem from the TRG help file:

"Clean Config (Action menu)

This command can only be run while the game is NOT running.

This command will clean out your configuration files so that you won’t get the "Data File Corrupted or Inaccessible" error message. There is no need to use this command unless you are getting this message. This will sometimes occur after you use a trainer on the game, but not always. Typically you start the game and after anywhere frim about 20 seconds to a minute later this error message pops up. After you click to close the message box the game exits back to the desktop. Once you start getting this message you will always get it no matter what scenario or saved game you load.

Use this command if that is happening to you and it should fix the problem. Don’t worry about the message: your data is NOT corrupt! This is purely a scare tactic to dissuade you from using trainers. In my opinion it’s a shame such a great game has to be saddled with such blatant anti-consumer tactics to satisfy someone’s ego. Enough said."

Works for me.
