Weird park food names

You can buy Coaster Coffee across the street from SFMW at the Carl's Jr/Mini Mart gas station.

If you want to know why they call it Coaster Coffee, just sit down at the large windows and enjoy the awesome view, multi-colored coaster track everywhere!

I find Gobblin Burgers at Holiday World a little weird. I've never been able to figure out if it's "Oh, look at me! I'm gobblin' these burgers up!" or if it's "Mmmm... this burger made of gobblin is really tasty!"

Sorry...we're big on puns here (especially Will and me). If you don't like the name "Goblin Burgers," you've got me to blame! I also came up with ZOOMbabwe, Zinga, Udderly Blue Ice Cream, Bamboo Chute and AmaZOOM.

For the record, we *detest* naming new stuff--it's an excruciating process! :)

What park food items have you encountered that has an unusual name. I will start this discussion with the Puyallup Fairs' "Krusty Pups".I guess these were corn dogs ,but with a name like that,I wasn't going to try one.

Sounds like they've been watching too many Simpsons episodes! I don't think I'd be too anxious to eat a Krusty Burger either!

Actually, I think it's funny. It must have made quite an impact on me if I've been wondering about it since, oh... July.

I never stopped to think, though, about how many "punny" names there are at Holiday World. Now that you mention it, though, there ARE quite a bit.

But about Gobblin Burgers... what's the intended meaning of the name? Are you feeding your park guests burgers made of gobblin? ;)

That's a little too spooky for me...

Don't worry...there's not a ghost of a chance we'd serve anything but 100% beef at Goblin Burgers!

Paula (I'll stop now...maybe this will make it under the radar and Moosh and 'gator won't join in)

Holiday World

You know, that was kind of a silly question. Everybody knows that gobblin meat is too expensive to be served at a casual dining establishment. Duh!

Although... Holiday World is known for value in food service. ;) But if it is 100% beef, we can only hope that it's 100% HAPPY cow. ;)

Nah...I'm not in the spirit for a pun-off ;)

To me, I took it as you are "Gobbling" Burgers, hence the double pun Goblin Burgers(goblin as in a halloween pun, and gobbling as in eating pun):) but thats just me.
What is cheese on a stick? Also I agree tentacles from tentacle stand 3 are a really good value.

Cedar Point -How an amusement park should be run.

Hmmm Well I'm just going to have to make my way to Holiday World and try one of these famous Goblin Burgers! I now just shudder to think what you all call your Ketchup!

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!
Cheese on a stick is a block of cheese dipped in batter (usually the corndog variety) and then fried. Also referred to as heart-attack-on-a-stick.

That's it exactly! Not a double pun, though; just a pun. Or double entrendre, for those who want French fries with their burgers.

French(?) Fries.....aren't they called Freedom Fries now, or was the Star Spangled Spuds, or Patriot Potatoes....I'm not really very punny, I'm more the alliterate (although I think dawn spelled it a little different when she called me that)...;)

What about Frito Pie at Holiday World? Not only is it a strange name, it is a strange looking meal. Delicious though! :)

Certain victory.

Frito Pies are great -- and easy to make at home too. Still, they're not unique to Holiday World. I've had one at Ober Gatlinburg too.

Best name that hasn't been mentioned -- Beaver Tails in front of EPCOT's Canada Pavillion.

I guess there's a downside to getting too creative with the names. I passed on the Fried Bats when I was at Lake Compounce (not because I thought they were actual bats, but because I didn't know what they were and had no interest in pursuing the matter). The same for Goose Juice and Moose Juice at IOA (which I eventually went for -- excellent in frozen form).

Sometimes being clever can be cruel.
