Has anyone taken into account the title "Fury Cam"
on the site?
I kind of like the name Fury.

Is it at all possible that Cedar Point might be building numerous Intamin Impulse coasters instead of one large one like so many think?

What keeps coming back to me is Cedar Point's requirements for their new ride's capacity. One train isn't going to do it and two (with a track configuration like the Mr. Freeze clones at Six Flags Over Texas and St. Louis) might not, either.

So, what if Cedar Point built three Impulse coasters? So far, we've had three names: Twister, Gale, and Fury. Could this be three names for three coasters? Also, this would the park greatly in the battle of coasters with Six Flags Magic Mountain. I believe it would put them over the top, correct? (I don't keep up with the records...it seems pointless to me. But, that's another story.)

I saw a photo of one of the footers and it looked pretty big for an Impulse to me, or so I thought. But, this is coming from someone without a degree in Engineering and who hasn't seen an Impulse up close.

Just some more speculation. We'll see what happens soon...

Might I make a suggestion here: Knott's is supposed to be getting a launched, full-circuit Intamin for 2002. The CEO, Jack alfas, said so himself [how's THAT for a source?] Makes sense to me that CP might be getting a larger version of the same thing. That might explain the spools of wire. It would also explain that the straight line of footers we've seen thus far is for the launch. A shuttle just doesn't make any sense to me...too little an hourly capacity.

Well, we can't even call it a shuttle yet, although it really, really, really looks like an Intamin Impulse;) We might as well say, it's the first launch at CP:)

I just checked and it won't update from Nov. 18 at 7:29 PM and it is still called Fury Cam

The speakers are made by Monsoon, another water type title. Monsoon Fury? name games are fun!! More fun than trying to guess what they are building.

After seeing Jeff's repeated insistance that its an Impulse shuttle I'll cease my speculation that it might be full-circuit. If that's what it is, great! You won't find me complaining.

Has anyone else realized that that track has a big gash going down the middle if it, maybe its a slit for that cable in the ohter pictures to go into too. And that track can just be boxed up S and S

Ok, I don't know what pictures you are talking about....Have you realized that mabey those slits in the track are for LIM's? Jeff already told us it was an Intamin Impulse.
