We like a coaster the more we ride it

I know a lot of people who will favor one coaster or another that everyone else either dislikes, or finds average. It seems that the more you ride a certain coaster, the more it "grows" on you, that is you get a better feeling for the ride, making it more enjoyable. For example, I have ridden the Great Nor'Easter too many times to remember, and Its one of my favorite coasters (not best). I rode talon only once, and didnt find it that good; however I'm sure that if I rode it a couple of times it would grow on me a lot. Another example for me could be Batman the ride, but i guess everyone likes that one or has ridden it. This attraction could be considered sentimental, but not on such an "emotional" level. So tell me, what is a favorite coaster of yours that is a rare crowd pleaser?

How much more floorless can they get?
Anaconda, everytime I go to PKD I have a mini-marathon on it.

I find Psyclone at SFMM really enjoyable and maybe you are right because I rode it like 3 times and it was a lot of fun, even though it was a little rough. I found Viper a huge stinker cause it was the most painful thing I have ever rode and probably will ever ride.

Medusa, V2, Roar!.......... Can I have my breath back?
I really have a thing for CGI wooden coasters. They just get better and better the more you ride them. I can't get enough of Roar, Wildcat or Lightning Racers. Why don't parks order more of these?

September 11th, 2001. We will never forget. Peace!
I think the opposite. I loved Phantom's Revenge but only rode it 3 times. I think if I rode it about 40 more times, I wouldn't like it as much. I rode Raging Bull more than 100 times this year, and by the end of the year, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did at the beginning of the year, because I had experienced the same so much.
Same here SFGA2001, I have ridden Colossus twice and each three times and it sucks. The only reason I rode it was because it was my first time at the park (1995), my (ex)girlfriend wanted to ride it(2000) and my girlfriend wanted to ride it  (2001). It sucks. It will never be a good ride no matter what they do.  I hate seeing the coaster. Demolish it for all I care.

"Oh crap, I'm not riding Raptor anymore because there's one just like it in Japan. Cedar Point sucks now."

I actually have to dissent here as well, I find that whether a coaster is good or not has a lot more impact on me than the number of times I ride it....in addition, by riding a coaster to death I risk becoming bored with it (much the way I view Shivering Timbers after a few marathons...)

I will grant you that nostalgia for coasters you rode as a kid can come into play but simple repetition isn't enough for me. I still can remember how Mean Streak *used* to run but it doesn't mean I'd stick up for the way it is today.
