We all need to buy a park

As many people as there is on here during a year, just imagine if we all put down $10-$20-$50 dollars a piece and went in a saved an amusement park. We could all be part owners! (Just kidding) Always wanted to save a park though and fix it up and bring back the fun!

That would be fun but I dont know if we would have enough to buy coasters and stuff. Still we could make it be a fun little park

That would be phat.

"Nothin wrong with a little airtime"

This would be horrible. First of all, with so many investors, it would be impossible to not argue over who owns what part of the company. And, with enthusiasts, it would be impossible to not argue over just about everything else. It would be neat to do if everyone could get along though!

that would be cool.......but since everyone payed for it then someone would always want to have everything their way. it probably wouldnt work out. and who would actually own the park?

I Agree MagnumAllan

Everyone would want to be control over "What we should add next" and no one would care about being janitors or something...

That's got a nice ring to it...............

I really thought seriously about ACE owning a park, All profits would go back into the park and the rides would consist of nothing but SBNO's or rides Destined for extinction.

With the Museum inside the park that is.

If your really evil in this life, do you come back as toilet paper????
ladies and gentlemen, due to an increase in line jumping, people caught cutting in line will no longer be ejected from the park. u will be ejected from the ride

You can still contribute to the Whalom Park effort.

Same here Charles. I always thought about how cool it would be for ACE to own a park.

As for us that would be very hard because eveyone would argue over things. The only other thing I could think of is if we formed into a design team and some other volunteer workers or something and turned the park into a public trust fund like Conneaut Lake.

If ACE or coasterbuzz or any other organization seriously wanted to buy a park I would be glad to donate some money. But who knows if that would happen anytime soon.

I think we could call it coasterbuzz world or something of the sort and jeff would be the official owner and decision maker about what rides go where and stuff

If ACE or CoasterBuzz members owned a park it would go out of business in a year.

Ok, so maybe not so many people owning it, but what about the idea? I mean, we all love amusement parks, and especially the ones that no one wants. What a perfect way to save the park and give back to the community. And if we call it Coasterbuzzland, then Jeff should be the General Manager. It just makes sense!

Unless Jeff put no money into the effort, then it would be senseless.

Instead of putting $20 into the park, I'd rather put $20 into somehow having all the enthusiasts on this site to get along and not be stupid!

Its not THE Shivering Timbers, its just Shivering Timbers. And its pronounced Michigan's Adventure.

I had a idea simialr to this. I think it costs $100,000 a day to rent out Cedar Point. Now, with 500 enthusiasts, it would cost $200 per person. If some how a gruop of a thousand came together, it would only be $100. I know I would be willing to pay, would you?

I would, but only if the price is more towards 100 bucks and everything (including resturants and shops) is open. as long as less than 2500 people are there.

In addition to my enormously creative mind (hehe) and some money, the best thing I could contribute would be the maintenance staff.....I've already got a self-proclaimed wood-coaster freak in the construction field (our own Jeff Hammersly) and a friend with all the mechanical know-how in terms of electronics, welding, etc.

Sure, the park would go under, but it would go out in a blaze of glory.....:)

That would be cool but I have a better idea. Contribute that money to the Save Whalom Park fund.

Or we could save the SBNO Comet rollercoaster in Dartmouth, MA. The Park can't be saved because arson fires ruined it already.
