But which of those other parks prices their product at $15/day? Given the price point, and compared to the competition, I think it's a pretty decent value.

I was going to say the same thing.

Had they not gummed up the works with LL maybe it would feel less icky? My wife and I used to pay for FP+ at Disneyland just so we could book Fast Passes (and get free digital photos) without walking to the attraction's paper distribution machine.

Did the developers of the system base it on DL trends? Surely not, but it feels like they underestimated the "WIN WDW AT ALL COSTS" mindset of a lot of people like Gonch mentioned above.

I was thinking about that the other day but didn't post. Someone made a point about what Paris was doing, and that it may have influenced the action here, but even the two US markets are vastly different. It's like expecting that the pass/daily mix is the same at all of the Cedar Fair parks.

I suspect ot works at Disneyland and DCA for the same reason it mostly works at MK: there are enough desirable attractions in each single park to spread the load around.

And I think it mostly does work at MK. I spent a chill morning at Epcot and only used G+ once there. The rest of them were used to stack things at MK for tonight.

How does it work for park hopping/park reservations? I genuinely don't know and it's not obvious on the app or website.

I think that's really the key as well as the amount of locals over out of town guests. Disneyland and DCA combined have roughly the same number of attractions as all four Florida parks combined. That's part of the reason that I prefer the California resort over the Florida one.

The only ones not happy are those of us that know the game exists, but have no desire to play it.

I think you've hit the nail on the head with that one.

I probably will return to Disney because I'm a coaster counter and they're getting some new ones – and I loved Tron at Shanghai Disney – but doing so is quite a long way down my priority list at this point.

You can make any G+ reservation in any park if you have either an AP or a ticket with hopping privileges. The system will helpfully only show you times at 2P or later in your "non-reserved" parks, even if earlier times remain for that attraction.

My experience was that using G+ to stack several things for an afternoon/evening is a lot less frustrating than trying to use it in the morning. It takes advantage of the fact that different attractions advance through the day at different rates. That's particularly true at Studios, where there isn't a major night-time show to keep people in the park.

I think part of it is also the mix of locals vs. tourists. I suspect that in either market, most locals who are popping in to the park after work are not going to pony up the $15$/20 for G+. My understanding is that CA is more patronized by locals than FL. I think it's intentional that no avenue for a season long G+ has been offered in CA.

I don't expect to see a season-long version in either domestic market. I suspect part of the point of G+ is to ensure that APers who put pressure on attractions have a higher per-cap floor. On any given day, they can come and soak up excess capacity, or they can kick in a few bucks---it's up to them.
