Waynes World Section @ PKD

How was that section of the park? It sounds cool. Is there any thing remaining in the park of that area?

I think Hurler's the only remaining part of the Wayne's World section @ PKD.

The Scream Weaver thingy has been relocated to the Old Virginia section of the park. It's called "Flying Eagles" now.

The Wayne's World shop and diner are still there though.

Don't forget Stan Makita's is still there.

I kind of wish they'd retheme or rename Hurler,If the WW theme has been totally scrapped in favor of something else then perhaps maybe it's time they rename the coaster.

the actual theming and part of the park aren't really that different, the took down some small Wayne's World elements. I'd imagin they did the same @ Carowinds. thats the Paramount Action Extreme Zone now, it's fairly cool, since that's where Hurler, Hypersonic, and Ricochet are, but not really different. it's like any part of a park that gets added 2, since nothing really large was taken away, Stan Makita's, the Rock Shop, and their car is still there.

Well, it wasn't removed. Its still there. My question though is was Stan Makita's ever open this season?

I don't know if Stan Makita's was open or not this season because I didn't make it down there this year but I know it was open last season, you sure can get a great veiw of Hypersonic's tower from there.
In the Waynes World section, you can find hurler, hypersonic, and ricochet. along with stan makita's. my first visit was in 2000, so im not very aware of the changes that have been made.

I have been wondering for quite awhile now, and figured this would be the place to ask, what was the ride that went up (kind of like Condor at SFGAm) while spinning, then you can turn the vehicle over? I remember riding it while I was at PKD like 5 years ago. Any one know? and if so, any pictures?

That would be the sky pilot ride,it was similar to flight commander @ PKI & was located where Drop zone is currently being built.

Even though I never liked the ride I wonder why it was removed?,perhaps it was due to the rumored accident with flight commander at PKI.

yes, stan mikita's was open this season.
Sky Pilot as of last season was in visible pieces to the far left as you are heading up Anaconda's lift.

Paramount *did* announce that WW was going away...I think it was about time, as the duo have just about faded from the short-lived spotlight. Of course, just to prove me wrong, IoA has them show up at Bill and Ted's..;). In the next couple years, I expect the restaurant to be re-named, if not the coaster. Mikita's was *definitely* open this year, it's where we got our Hypersonic souvenir cup. (C'mon, Stan Checketts' first installation of a coaster - who could resist?) The ONLY employee all day at the park who was *not having their best day* was a lady training a new food-service person...I'd hate to be "the new guy" there, lol...
