Ok I have been playing the heck out of the Demo...ported a few rides bla bla bla.But as I have looked at all the other screenshots on other sites I noticed that my water looked none like what I have seen. Most of everybody's has the reflection and the little ripples in the water but I have noticed that I don't but everything else on the game looks good rides,peeps,trees.etc. I have a G-Force Nividia 64mb Video card......Can anyone please tell me why I don't have the reflections and maybe how I can fix it....Evo
My guess, the game turned it off because your video card could not handle the game... but I am not sure.
Generally anything not handled in hardware can be handled in software... at a serious performance hit. To turn on reflections, check the box in the RCT settings. If this box isn't there or it's greyed out, then your hardware can't support it.
Thanks Jeff...I also wanted to say sorry I see there has already been a post on reflection...so if you want to close this one....go ahead...The box is not there so I as see it I will need to get me another Video Card...thanks!!!
I'm running a Nvidia Geforce 3 with 128 MB. It lags pretty badly and gets worse as the game progresses. There are also weird textures that just start flashing on the screen. Its a common problem with Nvidia cards and some games. This game will need a patch for some Nvidia cards.
I'm running a GeForce4MX 440, and would lag and get choppy while riding the coasters. Then I unchecked the "growing grass" option in the settings. I couldn't believe the difference in performance! If you haven't yet disabled this setting, I highly advise doing so.
It's still me, here from the beginning back in 1999. Add 1500+ posts to the number I have in the info section if you care about such things.
I am gong to upgade my card. I am going to get the ATI Radeon 9800. But I am going to wait as of know,I will probably pick it up in a week or so,or at least before the actual game is released. I really don't see a point in going to spend 200.00 just so I can get water reflections in a Demo, now that I know that is the problem. I would rather wait a week or so to purchase...I'd rather have the card for the whole game and not the Demo....that way once I see it in the full version....that will make the 200.00 card worth buying...but also of cource for my other games as well....thanks for any advice people gave!!
