Disney World employees are easy targets. Tourists scream at them, sexually harass them and in the most serious cases, physically attack them, according to law enforcement reports.

Customer service employees get yelled at in many jobs, not just Disney. I worked in theatre box office for many years. One woman yelled at me that I talking to her like she was stupid. Not true. I would never act that way with a customer ... though I might go back to the manager and vent a little.
It goes with the territory.
Side note, I have a friend who worked at WDW for many years and told me once a guest had pulled out his penknife and stabbed Tigger to prove there was nobody in the costume. (He was escorted out of the park and told never to return.)

That story about the knife has been told for decades. When I went to work there it was one of the Three Little Pigs that go stabbed. My most dangerous job was working as a "Guesser" at Geauga Lake. I once guess a woman's age...and was too high. She slapped me. Seriously. I was pretty careful with my age guesses after that experience.

Geez, Le Monster, the only abuse I ever got while working parade control was Cinderella (and the Prince) hitting on me.
Possibly it was a Tomorrowland thing regarding setting up and policing the viewing area, memory is hazy on that part of it. But do remember they would intentionally bring larger cast members over for it because it was known to get ugly. Management was totally supportive during all of it and one would stay on hand to deal with someone that got irate. The woman that flipped out and threatened was referred to as the "what's your surname!!" lady for several months after that.
