From the blog:

Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, announced that Disney Skyliner will be ready to begin transporting guests at the Walt Disney World Resort beginning fall of 2019!

As many of you know, this new state-of-the-art gondola system will conveniently connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four resort hotels- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort as well as the proposed 15th Disney Vacation Club property, Disney’s Riviera Resort.

Here you go:

They had one at IAAPA, I wish I would have taken a photo (though maybe this is the same one in the video). They're a weird cross between being closed in and having cage-like sides.

Maybe that is the reason it will take so long to get them up and running. Plan was passive cooling and people said they are nuts so they are redesigning to include air conditioning. Looking online I have seen people confidently stating no a/c and others stating as confidently a/c. Though nothing official that I saw. Could have missed it though. Gondola in that video does not have an a/c unit on the roof which you would expect though maybe they didn't want to show that for the PR unveiling.

No AC is insane. I sure as hell don't want to ride out a system stoppage in one of these things in July.

Me not getting on the thing from May to October confirmed.

Just wanted to share my experience with the cable cars in Hong Kong during the summer. No AC was not an issue there. The air movement was sufficient to keep it cool. The gondolas moved at a pretty good pace.

Interestingly, Alton Towers operate a similar system from Poma and it was closed for days on end this season because temperatures meant they didn't think they could operate it with no AC.

It's less of a problem for 'normal' operation but if it stops for a prolonged period, it gets very uncomfortable very quickly.

Nothing to see here. Move along.
